Hello, I’m Orlando.

  • Posted on November 3, 2011 at 4:09 pm
Hello everyone, I’m Orlando; the same Orlando that also joined ‘Evocation Magic’ forum a few days ago.

I consider myself to be a pagan at heart, and have come on this site because there is so much more to the Occult that one doesn’t get to hear about on purely pagan sites.

I hope to become a regular here, amongst the others forums I visit, but mainly lurking in the background probably. :)

I'm a practicing sorcerer for 12 years now but still can't levitate a crate unless I'm playing Star Wars.....:p I'm sort of trying to consolidate my practice into a more coherent format and I enjoy talking "shop" with other practitioners.

I write about my daily magickal musings @:

Please go easy on me. :D

New member says Hello!

Greetings my fellow brothers and sisters of the magickal arts!

My name is Joshua Maverick. I am new to this forum, however far from new to magick and the related topics. Without going into any boring details I can say that I was brought up in the Tantric Manifestation tradition by my father and older brother and I currently belong to a Gathering in Sweden, the frozen country in northern Europe. There I serve as a Spellcaster and the Head Ritual Designer. I just wanted to stop by and say hello, I hope that I will have a fruitful time here both learning new spells and hopefully teaching quite allot as well. If you have any questions or perhaps are interested in a collaboration please send me a pm.

May Mother Goddess shine her light upon you!

Hello to everyone! Introducing myself to you all.

  • Posted on August 31, 2011 at 4:13 pm
Hi!
I'd like to introduce myself to you all. I stumbled on this forum while I was looking for some information on one thing or another and liked it so much I decided to knock on this door and see what happens.
I am a musician and an occasional artist/photographer/jack of all trades. I have always been interested in the occult since I could remember. One of my early memories is the excited anticipation of turning seven and getting my first library card, because I had concluded that the library must be the place of arcane knowledge and at seven I'd have the keys to it. I remember getting a book on egyptian mythology, one on astronomy and an anthology of modern poetry...and getting incredibly frustrated once I got home.
Luckily the library did have Nietzsche, Zen koans and a great music section.
After years of just being "vaguely mystical" I stumbled on two books by Dion Fortune in a holiday resort used book store and felt at home. I am still completely wet behind the ears, but am preparing to start work. I have an attraction to the Golden Dawn system, but have not begun yet, as I'm working on getting "the slate clean".
I'm happy that there is a forum like this and am looking forward to perhaps getting to know some of you.

You might have seen me lurking about by now, but it's never too late for a brief introduction!

Names, you can call me 8-bit or Leigh if you'd prefer. I don't follow any particular path (paradigm?), I'm actually more of a hoarder of knowledge I don't use and aficionado of things that are magick-related but not really magickal themselves. For example, I'd rather learn about the culture of Elementals in their own right than call one for any... purposes, or whatever it is people normally like to do with them. What I've been doing, I've been doing most of my life, although it's only recently that I've accepted that magickal ability in itself isn't what I'm after. Count out the very, very basics, and I'm after things significantly more tedious and less useful.

Let's see... I'm a student, switching out of my previous major of culinary and into IT. If I had to pick three things I adore instead of going off on a tangent about various things that interest me, I'd say literature, dragonfruit vodka, and betta fish. I tend to have an unintentionally brash outward disposition and am prone to mischief, but I'm really one of the more harmless people you'll meet. Promise.

Hello!

I've been lucking here for years and not to long ago made an account on here.

Okay, here is some info on myself...

I am currently training within the Franz Bardon system. I am almost done with step II. Currently I am still on working on my soul mirrors, but with the help of Sigil Magic and good old determination I've managed to get through most of my vices.

My hobbies at the moments are: Music production, and body building.

I also practice qigong on the side, I'm still a major newbie to it though.

I think that is it, I am looking forward to actually participate in this community!

Greetings and salutations.

I am Landra. The final answer to the question of who I am, is that I am the sum of my experiences.

I have actively practiced magic for eight years now, and have been surrounded by it all the twenty one years of my life. My gram is a christian witch, and my mother is her seventh child, both of them talented psychics.

I am eclectic pagan, and I walk the path of the medicine woman. I am not affiliated in any way with any existing tribal culture; rather I work with the same spirits as those who walked the path before me, I work with plants and their spirits, I work with personal power, and I call on the energies of the earth.

I am a practitioner of the dark arts, and my "great work" so to speak, is sharing with others the knowledge that dark and "evil" are not interchangeable. I use the darkness to heal and protect. The stars can only be seen at night.

I am a priestess of Hecate and Medusa, and huntress of Artemis.

My mate and I run a small business called Art of Creation, for the creations of hand, mind, and spirit. Therein we sell artwork in all media, various metaphysical accoutrements, as well as spellwork and various forms of healing.

I am also transgender, which I mention because it is relevant to my spiritual path. It is part of my identity, and I won't pretend otherwise.

May you find what you seek,
Landra

Just introducing myself.

I'm Arsh. I'm a shamanic magician. I practice chaos magick theory with background in runology and hefty theological studies.

I'm here to seek out chaos magicians for conversation and learn more of the things I'm interested in right now. Hoping this will be a good avenue for such conversation. Having read for a few days so far, I'm thinking it might.

Self-intro

  • Posted on July 17, 2011 at 8:57 am
Hi, I've recently discovered this forum.
I've not been particularly 'active' magically speaking for the last few years (excepting the occasional cleansing and protection for my home); just settling into a new area, working on my herb garden, and trying to learn about the local 'landscape', so to speak - the local history, the wildlife, and the things that make the area tick.

But I'm now at a point where I feel the need to be more active again, so looking forward to sharing ideas/expriences with other people.

I've been looking at the site for a handful of days now, and it seems like a good forum to join. I've only been trying magic for a couple of weeks, and it looks like a pretty good place to learn. I say trying because none of my magic seems to be working, but I'm not surprised, since I'm so new.

So then, hello.

Short time lurker here. Just wanted to post and say thanks to everyone, I have found some useful info on here and enjoy reading the discussions.

I am just getting back into the occult swing of things. I have been gone from it for awhile. Life in general has just gotten in the way.

My occult persuasion is more in line with Chaos magic (Jan Fries, Phil Hine, and Peter Carroll). Also draw inspiration from Celtic paganism, and I have been involved with Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu which definitely has some esoteric aspects to it if you can read in between the lines.

I look forward to some good discussions.

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I'm a bit of a shy person, though mostly I just get frustrated with stupidity and avoid a lot of people and conversations for that reason as well. Yet I've realized as of late, it's about damn time I have some people to talk occult stuff with.

Now I'm not a real heavy, hardcore occultist or anything. I try the mundane out first and am into the whole "less is more" ethic, which is why I've read some stuff on Chaos Magic and occasionally poke my head in to peek at those types of threads. I do some sigilization from time to time and used to be better about meditating every day, until some IRL stuff got me distracted. I'm trying to get back into the habit right now.

I also used to be a Celtic Reconstructionist for some years (around '01-'6 or so). Looking back, I'm not sure why. My beliefs have changed a lot since then, actually closer to what I believed before CR. So there is that.

I'm looking forward to getting to know some cool people. Agreeing or disagreeing isn't too important, just having good, educated and interesting/weird conversation. Thanks.

An introduction to Myk5 (Michael)

  • Posted on July 4, 2011 at 4:23 pm
So, who I am. Tough question, 'cause who I am today I might not be tomorrow, I stubbornly am optimistic enough to consider I might grow in some way.

Labels help, of course I'm not a label. But here are some that may apply to me: Chaos magician, Buddhist, cartoonist, fine artist, writer, web developer, punk, gay, capitalist, devil, fluffy, satanic, nerd, geek, bullshit artist, guru...etc.

I come to this site because a reply to a comment on my site's blog requested I recommend a magical community, and I've not been a member of one that I'd care to make public, that still exists or hasn't already banned me. I checked this site out and found it to be good enough to recommend to my reader, and if it's good enough for me to recommend, I better join myself.

Why might I get banned from another site? I'm arrogant with strong opinions, I accept that - and I found that running a blog where I am the only voice, it delivers appreciation and fans. Participating in groups, because people can make identities of their beliefs and magical biases - my attempts at helpfulness have landed as deeply personal attacks to a few people. My 'radical' left wing point of view got me banned from one Hoodoo site.

On this site, I'll test the extent to which I've grown. I'm sure I will be well liked by everyone, as if I should even want.

My own paradigm, constructed to be usable by others that are not magicians first, it's a blend of Zen, law of Attraction, Hoodoo, NLP and classic Chaos magic sigils and servitors. I stubbornly refuse to know if magic is supernatural or simply a psychological game played to generate an illusion of not being powerless - I suspect it is both.:)

i designed a prototype major arcana for a "street tarot" deck, which i linked to in the thread i got banned for.

Hello, you may call me Devona,

I am a psychic, demonolater, Satanist and loving wife.
Always on the look for brightening my horizons. I like helping others and looking for teachers in the “dark arts”. (little Harry potter pun.) I believe I have a lot to offer and very aware there is a lot that still can be learned. I offer any teatchings I can provide and I am looking for teachers that are willing to teach me in the areas that are lacking.

Thanks for having me here.

Been a while since I've been on this website, and I've grown bored once again so return I shall, and return I did. I finished my Goetia Project and will be publishing it hopefully before it is a full year after said project, and I am in college now (yay), hopefully going to get a master's in Anthropology with a focus on the occult, namely left hand path groups, orders, and all that fun stuff.

Working on some rituals from the Greek Magical Papyri as well as playing around with Enochian... so ya, hi.

I've been reading on the forum for a while, but not been posting. Occasionally I have joined the chat when something I was reading was not really clear, hopeing to find some answers there. The time has come however to introduce myself. Not much to tell though. I am completely new to the occult. Im very interested and curious, but also very patient. So far I have done as the beginners board sais: start reading into the different paradigms to find out what suits you. Well, here comes my problem: even after reading different threads on each paradigm subforum, I sometimes still don't get the focus of that paradigm. A simple short introduction (in a sticky maybe?) would be usefull.

Anyway, I'll keep on reading and hopefully I can find the path that suits me well. So far, I'm only starting with meditation as I read that it's the basic you need before anything else.

Hope to read more of you all so I can learn!
