Inner Temple Explorative Theory.

  • Posted on October 17, 2011 at 9:19 am
The other day my friend revealed to me that she had been traveling to my inner temple for months now, thinking that I was aware of it. We call my temple The Citadel. She has never gone anywhere but to her own temple before, so the only reason she has been able to travel to mine is because a piece of her "outself" is inside me, and because it is a "gate" it can lead her straight to "a back door"

Assistance with Astral Projection

  • Posted on July 9, 2011 at 4:49 am
Recently, I've been attempting to astral project. I haven't had much success in the past, but it has become of interest to me again.

My biggest problem comes right at the stage of separation. I've reached sleep paralysis and I've just passed the "flashing lights behind the eyelids" stage and I'm beginning to feel what I've always been told is the separation stage, the vibration stage.
I don't know if everyone feels vibrations, but that's the sensation that I'm familiar with.

I start to reach the vibration stage and I feel light, like I'm lifting from my body, but then I reach this position where it's almost like I'm sitting up at a 35 degree angle and I can't go any further. Any attempts on my part to exceed this stage result in my becoming more physically awake.

Any ideas here? This would be my first intentional experience and I can't really see what I'm doing wrong, compared to the various texts and information I've gathered on the process.

Time Travel

  • Posted on June 27, 2011 at 1:52 pm
Who here has experimented with Time Travel? (on the astral mainly but please do tell, if you have any physical experiences)

So far, with some (albeit little) research I've come to some hypothetical conclusions about the initiation of Time Travel on the astral. First would be that Consciousness could be the more likely form of Time Travel (because of ideas such as Universal Consciousness, not only in space but in time as well) rather than Physical Time-Travel (Which requires either an immense speed to warp & separate certain time-event frames from each other and or "teleportation" via wormholes)

For personal Time-Travel, I would record my past (diary entries and pictures) and mark important dates and along with a visualization I used the intense emotion surrounding that date as a trigger, However for Global time-travel, I believe that would require a channel to the Universal Consciousness (this channel could be what is known as your higher self, HGA, Holy Spirit etc; )

As to whether or not I experience the past (and possible future) outside as an lighter-density entity or rather possibly share a the residence of a Host is uncertain.

Regardless, I would imagine that as far as paradoxes go, I wouldn't be able to create anything due to one being only an un-interactive viewer or two, due to the clause of paradoxes sorting themselves out via The Many Worlds theories.

Would anyone here have any more experiences or thoughts to share on this concept of Time Travel in the astral (or physical if you indeed have achieved such a feat)

Thank You. :D

Avoid OBEs

  • Posted on June 27, 2011 at 3:02 am
Hi,

this is my first post and I apologize for the lack of fancy words and correct terms, since i never really read any books about this.

I wanted to ask if there is a way to avoid OBEs, Apperantly i had one and i honestly very much hated it.
so since i will be asked in the next post what exactly happened, here it goes:

I was about to go to sleep. Well i was pretty much on the way already, when i felt funny and got up again and looked around. and there was no floor. i mean there was a floor but it looked like a hologram. well it looked solid but i KNEW if i wanted to i could just fall right through it. or the ceiling or the walls. it felt icky, dying. something was holding me up but the same time it felt like there is a big giant amount of absolutly nothing around me. it made me feel tiny and completly lost and i paniced. i kind of saw myself just an arm length away from where i was uhm hanging. and i just thought "holy crap!" and then it gets kind of mushy. i think i fell asleep afterwards and started dreaming. those felt a lot different. i woke up at some point and fell back asleep. and honestly i slept pretty crappy.
so the next day i got up. people didnt seem to be able to sense me in the room. you know how you come in and you know someone else is there too. even if he s sitting around the corner and you cant see them right away. well nothing like that. my step daughter walked right past me and left the house. and it went on like that the whole morning, which was really depressing. it was like i was invisible. i told a friend of mine on the chat and he helped me do some stuff to kind of fix it again.. so after a failed attempt i guess it was better. i felt better too. but the invisible stuff isnt really the issue.

essentially: how do i avoid ever accidently falling out again. i didnt like how it felt. maybe because i didnt know what the hell im doing but i still didnt like it.

id appreciate any ideas/advice

Astral Project

  • Posted on June 22, 2011 at 5:18 pm
someone may remember that a short time ago I talked about a manga called Astral Project which I was told contained many references about OBE and astral projection.
I managed to find a copy of all four of the mangas. if you are interested they are published by J-POP.
I've read it and it took alot of time because it's breath-taking. there are actually a whole lot of reference about OBE and in most parts it's incredibly accurate. obviously it contains parts that are totally unrelevant with astral projection (a manga has to sell and needs a plot). for the first three volumes it's an exploration and reflection about the OBE and modern society, in the last it's something like a dismantling of the concept of media, computer and capitalism itself. in many parts of the entire serie it breaks down the idea of reality in ways that a mind mage could find an infinite source of ideas on creating allucination and illusion. the only reason I post this text here is that the main magical feature is astral travel but I think that any magician of any discipline could find something very interesting for his work.
I give the manga a 12 on 10 because it's the first time that when I finish a serie I say: "ok... now I need a lucid dream and many meditation to see how this can make me improve". I suggest everyone who's interested to buy it. it shouldn't cost more than 25€ for the entire collection and it's definetly worth the price.

[Article] Eight Keys to a Fulfilling Life – The Soul Journey in Daily Life

Eight Keys to a Fulfilling Life - The Soul Journey in Daily Life
by Philosophadam

Astral and Ethereal projections are not the only dimensions of our total soul journey through life. Another important dimension is the way we approach daily life as such in order to make it as fulfilling an experience as possible.

Indeed, Most if not all of us human beings have had a strange and unpleasant experience. We have felt our lives go stale. We have felt the world dissolve into a grey, boring mass of tedium. We have felt that we were just “going through the motions” of life, just following the daily routine. We have watched as life seemed to lose its luster, its color, its wonderful substance. If someone had asked us how we felt in this state of mind, we would not have uttered much beyond a shallow “meh.” It was as if someone had emptied the cornucopia of life and left us holding nothing but an empty shell. We felt we had lost life’s freshness.

For many of us, this experience is not just something that happened once in the past, but an experience that keeps returning to us. It is as if the tide of life goes out and leaves us wondering where all the waves of excitement have gone. This is certainly not an experience that any of us actively seek out. It is also not a state of being in which we could easily say that we feel fulfilled and happy with the condition of our lives. None of us wants life to become stale and flavorless; we yearn for a life that bursts with passion, power, and vibrancy.

How, then, can we keep life fresh? How can we ensure that we do not simply live our lives on autopilot? Thankfully, there are many ways to keep the electricity circulating through the wires of our lives, many little things we can do to prevent the short circuits that leave us feeling bored and unfulfilled. Here are eight that have worked for me and which, I hope, will prove helpful to you as well.

1. Follow your Curiosity

The first thing we can do to to live a fulfiling life seems so obvious that we often forget all it. To keep life fresh, we can fill it with new experiences; we can try new things. What sorts of ‘new things’ can we try? One thing that keeps my life fresh is exploring new subjects and discovering new interests. Since I loved music, for instance, I began to learn to play the electric guitar. Then I tried the acoustic guitar. Then I began to teach myself some basic piano. Then I learned how to write electronic music. Sometimes we can take one of our interests, explore it further, and find that it takes us into previously unchartered territory. My original interest in rock music led me to learn about Sufi Qawwali, Hindu sitar music, Gregorian chanting, punk rock, and Vodoun drumming. And I’ve only just scratched the surface of all of the wonderful music the world has to offer. The same is true of any other interest we can develop.

[IMG]http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-u3i5R_SiKfE/TW5gnB0EHlI/AAAAAAAAAWQ/mn7bOMCariw/s1600/kite-flying.jpg/IMG]

2. Try New Activities

If you dive deeply into your existing interests or try exploring some new ones, you’ll find that life stays exciting and fresh. Exploring new interests can lead you to learn about fascinating things, but it can also lead you to try out new activities or to rediscover old ones. After years of never touching a single kite, I recently went kite flying with friends and found the experience incredibly fulfilling and exhilirating. I cheered as my kite began to circle through the sky and was caught by a sudden updraft. I ran with the kite, just following where the wind would take me. I’ve had similar experiences with rock climbing, cooking, playing badminton, animating short films, and doing many other things I never thought I would end up trying. Part of keeping life fresh is pushing beyond what we think we can do and beyond what we think could possibly interest us. The range of our possibilities is always greater than we imagine. The only way to truly discover what the world has to offer is to leap into the unknown with an open mind and an open heart.

3. Explore New Places or Reexplore Familiar Ones

If novelty is part of what keeps life fresh, then it is wise to follow the call of the new. Sometimes following the call the new in life can simply mean traveling to a new place. One can fly around the world, but one need not travel a great distance to explore a new place. With friends, I have visited subway stations here in Montreal that I had never previously seen and explored the areas surrounding them. I found wonderful new restaurants, charming streets, majestic views, and all sorts of exciting new things. Our world is vast indeed and our lives are equally filled with vast possibilities. We do not need to spend a great deal of money to explore a new place. Bus fare to and from a place can be all we need.

In addition to visiting new places, we can also reexplore familiar ones. How thoroughly have you explored your own backyard? Certainly, you have walked around it. You may have a garden in which you have worked a great deal. You may have a barbecue and patio furniture. But there are other ways of exploring our familiar spaces besides the habitual ones. We can lie on the grass and look up at the play of leaves in the wind. We can crawl around on our hands and knees and see how this altered perspective changes our view of the space. We can look around in the grass with a magnifying glass and see what is transpiring on the very small scale. We can blindfold ourselves or insert earplugs into our ears and experience the space with one sense blocked off and the others more prominent. There are hundreds of new ways to experience a familiar space. If we are ready to use our imagination, we can think of many. Each fresh way to experience a place brings still more freshness into our daily lives.

4. Meet New People

Many of us are shy about meeting new people. I know I was dreadfully shy for most of my life. I was afraid of how others would judge me or whether I might seem awkward or uninteresting. But as I started to open up and relax into life, I found that meeting new people can be one of the most wonderful experiences we can have. New people bring with them new conversations, new interests to share with us, new stories to tell, and new perspectives on life. A single meeting with a new person can transform our whole life; it can shift us onto a new course, open up new possibilities for us, or teach us something that we never could have imagined before. Before I was afraid to meet new people; now, I’m excited to do so. I go into each new meeting with an open mind, ready for new experiences. When we’re open to meeting new people, life remains fresh, because there are always far more people in the world than we ever have the chance or time to meet. Every new meeting is a new adventure and one which can itself produce new adventures.

Some people wonder how we can best meet new people. We can do so in all kinds of ways. We can go with friends to parties or classes or common interest groups or activities in which they are involved. We can meet friends of friends. We can meet people on internet forums, blogs, journals, and websites of all kinds. We can meet people while sitting in cafes or bars or waiting in line at the grocery store. I’ve had some wonderful conversations with strangers while on long bus rides. If we’re open to new meetings, we’ll find them in no short supply.

If we are still too shy to meet new people, however, there is something else we can do. We can learn more about the people we already know. We can learn about new aspects of their personalities, new things they are interested in, new aspects from their pasts that helped shape who they are today. We can never exhaust all there is to know about a single person. If we are curious and open to share with others and allow them to share with us, we’ll find a universe of new possibilities awaits within every person we know. If we are open to exploration, life will open up the way for us. The more we are curious about the people in our lives, the fresher and more packed with potential they become for us.

5. Read a New Book

One of the greatest things that ever happened to me was that I fell in love with reading. I hated books at first. They seemed at once intimidating and boring compared to the flashy world of television and film. But when I gave reading a chance, a passion and love began to blossom in me that has never failed to reward me time and time again. New books contain new knowledge. They present new possibilities. They offer new experiences. They suggest new ways of seeing the world. This is equally true for works of fiction and works of nonfiction. I love investigating a new fictional world. I recently read the epics of Homer, Virgil and Ovid, and was amazed at the colorful vistas of battling heroes, gods directing human affairs, and exotic locales that they contained. American Psycho gave me a chilling look into the mind of a materialistic, intelligent serial killer. Dogen’s Shobogenzo showed me the world as seen through the eyes of a Zen master. The Sciences: An Integrated Approach introduced important scientific concepts to me and showed me how the sciences interconnect. Herman Hesse’s Siddhartha told me the beautiful story of a man who met the Buddha and decided that he had to find his own path to the truth.

Every new book freshens up my life. It shapes the way I experience the world. It delights me and teaches me countless lessons. It deepens my worldview and perspective on life. Books have evoked in me nearly every emotion along the spectrum of human feeling from laughter to tears, anger to deep peace, despair to exaltation. They have given rise to the most powerful ideas and inspired me to look further into topics I never would have thought to research on my own. Every book is a portal into a new world; this new world can be a fictional world like Peter Pan’s Never Neverland or it can be our own world as seen through new eyes. A book is a key that unlocks a door in the universe. The more books we read, the more keys we gain and the more corridors of the world we can explore.

6. Cultivate Mindfulness

Another way to keep life fresh is to cultivate mindfulness. Mindfulness is the essence of meditation. What does ‘mindfulness’ mean? It means centering our attention fully on the present moment. When we eat unmindfully, for instance, we barely taste our food. Our attention is far off, somewhere else, planning out a vacation, thinking about a coworker who irritated us, or fantasizing about that cute blonde who smiled at us at the coffee shop. Mindfulness means bringing attention back to the here and now. When I eat mindfully, I eat fully. I note every small sensation in every bite of my food. I note the way my body responds to the food. I note the feelings that arise as I eat. I note the way I think about what I am eating. When I am mindful of what I am doing, I become what I am doing. I try to be as fully aware of what is going on in this present moment as possible. In meditation, we do exactly this, but while sitting on a cushion or walking in a special way.

We do not need to be on a meditation cushion to practice mindfulnesss, however; we can be mindful while doing anything in daily life. For example, I’ve practiced mindfulness while working as a dishwasher with inadequate equipment at an extremely busy restaurant. At first, I noticed that I felt great aversion to scrubbing pots and feeling unappreciated by my coworkers. I noticed frustration arising in the mind. I noticed how my thoughts would obsess over all of the problems I perceived in what I was doing.

As I continued the practice, however, I began to notice other things. I noticed the pleasant aroma of the dishsoap. I felt the warmth of the water. I felt the satisfaction of having cleaned another rack of dishes. I noticed how all parts in the restaurant are interdependent; without the dishwasher, the Chefs would have no dishes on which to present food and the servers would have nothing to serve. I saw that my dishwashing had been distracted and clumsy. I learned to flow with my dishwashing; to become dishwashing while I was working. This made all the difference in the world for me. An unpleasant job became joyful. A hectic endeavour became peaceful. I still moved with extreme rapidity, but inside, my mind was clear and calm. I worked hard and smiled as I did so. It was mindfulness that taught me how to do that. Mindfulness carries fulfillment and peace in its wings.

Another benefit of cultivating mindfulness is that it prevents us from taking life for granted. When we take life for granted, it quickly becomes dull and monotonous. We cease to appreciate it. Mindfulness, in contrast, is all about appreciation. When we become fully aware of the pleasant feeling of the warm water and the wonderful aroma of the soap, we begin to appreciate them more. As we appreciate them, we cease to take them for granted. We find value in them. In this way, mindfulness uncovers the value in life. And the more value we find in life, the more life becomes fulfilling. A fulfilling life is a fresh and fun life.

7. Feel Wonder at the World

One of the most important things we can do to keep life fresh is to relearn how to feel wonder at the world. Wonder is the feeling of being wowed. As children, we were all masters of wonder. In young children especially, we can see wonder in action. Adults might tie their shoes and run out the door, but to a child who is just learning, tying shoes is amazing. Have you ever seen a child who just succeeded in riding a bike for the first time? A jaded adult might say “what? it’s just a bike ride. No big deal.” But to the child, a bike ride is an incredible thing. It is exhilirating, breathtaking. You’re zooming through the world on two wheels and balancing perfectly! How amazing is that?

As we learn to live mindfully, we also remember how to feel wonder. I once came out of a Zen meditation session at McGill university and was walking down the street when I suddenly noticed this beautiful oak tree. I had walked by it hundreds of times before on my way to class and never noticed it before. And then, suddenly, on this day, there it was. I saw the majestic rise of its branches, the beautiful textures of its bark, the manifold colors of its leaves, the countless undulating forms that made up its powerful shape. I had seen thousands of trees before, but it was as if I were looking at this tree with new eyes, as if I were seeing it for the first time. And I was wowed, awed. Wonder swept over me and I felt fully alive. We can wonder at anything. I’ve felt wonder at dishwashing, at the complexities of physics, at the movie Vanilla Sky, at the beauty of a girl I loved. Mindfulness reveals wonder and wonder makes us feel fully alive. Behind every great scientist, philosopher, and artist, there is a capacity to feel intense wonder. It is a capacity that we all actualized as children and that we can learn to feel again. The rewards of taking time to wonder at the world are many indeed.

8. Imagine and Create

A final thing that has helped keep life fresh for me is the process of imagining and creating. We can explore our imaginations in all kinds of ways. For instance, we can explore our dreams and learn to lucid dream, that is, to intentionally shape our dreams at will while still dreaming. We can tackle a problem and imagine possible solutions. We can imagine new songs, sculpltures, mosaics, collages, plays, poems, short stories, and inventions. All we need to move from imagination to creation is to learn a medium and the skills associated with it. We can learn to play guitar, sculpt, work with tiles, cut and paste images, sequence a play, write in measured poetic verses, or work with different materials. Practical knowledge and skills are the vehicles through which the fruits of the imagination enter the world. Once we know how to work with a medium, we can, within reason, manifest what we imagine.

We do not need special talents to be imaginative and creative. All children are born with the ability to imagine and creative. Children are always creating new games, new ideas, drawing new spaceships and fantastical creatures. We all have the capacity to imagine and create within us. Sadly, many of us cease to practice imagining and creating as we grow into adulthood and forget that we even have the capacity to do so. But it is always there within us. We need only activate it, reawaken it from its slumber.

One way to reawaken the imagination is to envision whole new worlds just for the fun of it. What would a world look like in which there was no gravity at all? How about one in which it rained cheese? What about a world in which all of what we associate with men was feminine and all of what we associate with women was masculine? What if we could instantaneously evolve at will? What if we had superpowers? What if humans could morph into whichever form they wished at will? A single question can open up a whole new world in the imagination. Questions can clear the way to new answers, they can cultivate wonder (think of a child asking “why? why?”), and they can help us to imagine. The imagination can be, in adulthood as it was for all of us in childhood, a powerful force that renews life at each moment and keeps us creatively engaged with the unfolding process of the universe.

Keeping Life Fresh

The universe and all that it contains are constantly changing. Tremendous things are taking place at every moment. If we are willing to follow our curiosity, try new activities, explore new places, meet new people, read new books, cultivate mindfulness, feel wonder at the world, or imagine and create, we can be sure that our experience will be as new and fresh as life is at each moment. A fresh and mindful life is a fulfilling life. At each moment, we have the power to turn the wonder of life into either a boring, tedious, and bland routine, or a new adventure. This power is always in our hands. What is certain is that none of us wants to live a boring life. None of us yearns for life to be dull, bland, and stale. We yearn for the new. What we must know is that the new, the powerful, the exciting, and the fresh are always within reach. We need only keep our eyes, minds, and hearts open to the possibilities and opportunities that surround us and dare to dive into the unknown. If we do so, we’ll find that the great riches of life, the secrets of fulfillment, and the rich ingredients of a meaningful existence are already present in the here and now, just waiting to be discovered.

About Mysticism

  • Posted on April 7, 2011 at 12:55 pm
I have been reading a bit about mysticism for it is a subject I find fascinating. The phrase "Mysticism is about falling deeply in love with the world" was used by one book as a definition of it.

This seems to be the most accurate description I've have come across to date.

The problem is the initial "honeymoon phase" quickly wears off and this is the reason for this post. It mainly about what happens after the first stage of bliss and then is asking how to deal with it.

First, which will most likely be the next stage?

Could it be a perpetual state between egoism and egolessness?

According to Peter Carrol in Liber Null, "The transcendentalist soon alternates between extreme humility and megalomania" (source http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phzTwE4NTv0 at 7:19)

Or could it be a perpetual state between intense infatuation and loathing?

According to The Kybalion "the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left"
meaning in this case if one experiences an extreme feeling of love for the world, one will soon experience an extreme hatred for it.

In either case, why does one positive soon turn to a negative?

My view on what comes after the honeymoon is the dark night of the soul. If this is the case, what advice would you have on moving past this stage?

Insidious

Has anyone seen this movie ?
I saw it Friday just to see what else hollywood can mess up.

**********SPOILER ALERT. DON"T READ BEYOND THIS POINT**************

Besides they scary surprises I expected in this movie. I found a few things I want your opinion on.

1. Do you think an astral traveler can get lost, thereby putting his physical body in a coma ?

2. Can a powerful enough entity somehow overwhelm the sleeping double of the traveler and "step into" his/her body ?

3. Can an untrained astral traveler who thinks it's a dream possibly create a haunting/poltergeist activity in a home ?

Mirror Gazing into the Subconscious

  • Posted on March 17, 2011 at 8:32 pm
This is a practice I first did back in the late 1990's that I thought I'd share for those of you looking for an effective way to explore the so-called subconscious. It is similar to scrying and can be a good preliminary to the phenomenon known as Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel. At least that is how I came to use it. If I remember correctly I originally found it in Meditation: The Art of Ecstasy by Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh in case anyone wants to source it. I actually gleaned a lot from that book back then.

It's a fairly simple but taxing practice; all you need is privacy, a good sized mirror and a candle. You can personalize it by adding other rituals like banishings if you feel it necessary. I find it most effective when left simple. In a dark room place the candle next to the mirror in such a way as to not actually reflect the candle from your perspective, just the light. You should be able to see your own face in the mirror.

Before going to bed stare into your own eyes without blinking for about 45 minutes each night. It will probably take 2-4 nights before you're able to hold through the full 45 minutes without blinking. You may notice various effects immediately but by the third or fourth night it should really kick in. Your face will morph and change and what you are confronted with may even scare the hell out of you at times. This is all part of it. These are your own false masks being revealed and pealed away. After some time you won't even recognize the face you're usually used to seeing in the mirror.

The arrival of the peak moment may vary for each individual. For me it took close to a month to reach it the first time I did this. The peak moment is when all of this morphing and changing finally ceases and there is no face at all in the mirror, just nothingness; the abyss of the subconscious. Upon this moment you must close your eyes and face this total nothingness. It is a portal into the deepest aspect of who you really are. This is the most important moment of the practice because this direct confrontation with your subconscious can effect real change in your being.

I think other uses for this technique may be obvious but I'll leave that to your own creativity.

More Inner Temple Issues

  • Posted on February 22, 2011 at 11:58 pm
So, i created an inner temple a long time ago and then recently started mucking around with things as i found new books with more ideas.

The first part of what went weird was: http://ameatpopsiclewitheyes.blogspo.../squirrel.html

And then: http://www.occultcorpus.com/forum/sh...ll-not-go-away

Now for part three.

I made another door and moved a wall back. This is all underground. I walked forward to the waterfall and i put my feet into the pond where the water hits.

Suddenly a surge of fear hits me and i look down. Theres a dead body floating in the water. I jump out and run back to the middle of the room and start chanting whatever protection i can think of then cut the room off completely so its just me and the body.

I asked my spirt guide to come into the room. He shows up and starts saying things that are sarcastic and completely off topic. He starts to make me nervous. So i tell him to leave.

The body comes out of the water and floats above it. I tell it to get out of my head over and over again but it doesn't work. Nothing works.

"What do you want?"

"You,"

This freaks me out and then i decide that its time to destroy the temple. An earthquake destroys everything and i go back to the first inner temple that i made years ago.

My spirt guide normally would stand by the fireplace. He's there, but he's a skeleton now. I burn that temple down and jump back to the mundane world.

I am spooked.

What are the causes for whatever the hell is going on and what can i do to get rid of it?

I feel strange. I don't like this.

Esoteric Effects of Psych Meds

  • Posted on January 8, 2011 at 11:05 pm
I'm curious to know, from those taking psychiatric medications, whether or not your meds interfere with your intuition, astral senses, or--in particular--your capacity for astral projection.

I've been an erstwhile ritual magician and meditator for about three years now. The astral plane interests me perhaps most among all occult subjects, and yet all my attempts at projecting have been unsuccessful. Several times I have separated from most of my body, but I can't seem to separate from my head.

For about five years I have taken lithium and occasionally Seroquel to keep my moods in balance. Two years ago an intuitive acquaintance of mine urged me to switch from lithium to Trileptal. She made the switch because the lithium she took for her bipolarism interfered with her "third-eye abilities," though she never specified which abilities.

On the Trileptal I was delighted to witness all kinds of intuitive abilities awakening. I received almost daily premonitions, mostly related to songs on the radio or TV, or to what somebody would say next in conversation. So many uncanny synchronicities, which gradually wove themselves into the fabric of my life. During my runs, I could hear the exquisite music of the spheres. My energetic sensitivity peaked. I could feel energy flowing through the trunk of a tree, through a boulder, through my own body. I was touching life deeply. It was very sensual.

Sadly, the Trileptal did not provide the kind of mental order and organization I needed to function in school and work. My mind was constantly noisy, with messages coming from inside, outside, and Damh-knows-where, along with relentless free associating and songs I could not get out. If Professor Xavier had been there, maybe we could have sorted it. But I had no teacher, and so, after clinging far too long, I finally said goodbye to Trileptal and most all of my intuitive experiences. For me, the only esoteric ability that survives lithium is a visual experience I call "scrying"; I can still see visions of animal spirits and sometimes human faces by fixing my gaze on any dark surface. This only works to a modest extent during normal consciousness, but with a bit of the good herb, the visions become vivid and dynamic, with a heightened sense of the figures as messengers or guardian spirits.

What I most want to hear is: "I take lithium and I've got no trouble projecting." What I'm afraid of is that, like the premonitions and the clairaudience, my capacity to project is being somehow blocked or short-circuited by the lithium. Perhaps the Seroquel has a similar effect. I only made a couple feeble attempts at projecting while on Trileptal; my waking life was already so intense and fascinating and messy, I didn't feel grounded enough to hit the astral highway.

I'm curious in general about the effects of all psych meds, not just lithium, on every aspect of magickal path and practice. If you took a psychiatric medication and it impacted your intuition, personal energy, visualizations, etc., positively or negatively, I would love to hear about it. And I'll bet our more psychologically diverse occultists will also benefit greatly from your insight.

I think I journeyed and met Yog-Sothoth…

  • Posted on December 23, 2010 at 7:08 am
I decided that I'd start visual meditation to improve my visualization capabilities so I can eventually see energy. I started with visualizing walking down a forest path, and eventually images began to spawn (while not too vividly) on their own.

Walking down the forest path, I found a white shining doorway, and walked through it, ending up in a white world with a black sphere at its center. I walked toward the black sphere and ended up in a space-like environment wth a red star in the distance. Upon getting closer to the star, I saw it turn into a fiery eye with a chaos star pupil. I flew through it, and saw fiery spirits that were part of the star's burning interior. They looked fairly daemoniac in the fact that their features were not the nicest looking (flaming ghosts with black ovals for eyes and mouth) but they kept their distance. I found a divinely golden core in the center of this star and entered it, finding another black sphere at its center which lead to a strange black space with a wormhole on its floor. I was exited the other end in another black space where I saw before me the spheres of yog-sothoth. One of the spheres approached me, and pinched into two orb-like segments and than enveloped me.

The meditation ended when a friend knocked on the door of the room I was meditating in, and I felt as though I had slowly 'phased back' rather than instantly regained awareness (despite being mostly conscious the whole meditation). Yog-Sothoth told me to watch my dreams as I phased back. This was last night. The dream I had that night didn't seem to have much importance though, unless theres details I haven't remembered yet. I did some geomancy on this, and the journey indicated some form of 'priesthood', which corresponds to my recent desire to be a sort of underling ally of yog-sothoth (not a worshipper, but a devout ally. I recognize yog-sothoth as having significantly more power than I do, but not as an object of worship).
Again, the visuals weren't too vivid but this is expected as it was the first real visualization meditation attempt. I'd like to add I felt a kind of mental clarity and neutrality that I felt was right all day yesterday.

Meeting Gods?

  • Posted on December 16, 2010 at 10:48 pm
So after recently finishing the reading and beginning the practicing of a book known as Pathworking with the Egyptian Gods, I came to a question. Has anyone had any experiences with the Astral and meeting beings of higher powers from any mythologic denomination? I am greatly interested in a possible communication with the Greek/Roman, Egyptian, and Norse gods, to see what they have to teach. Please, if you have had any experiences, feel free to share.

A Skull in my ‘inner temple’ will not go away

  • Posted on December 13, 2010 at 5:36 pm
I recently dismantled my inner temple {by this i mean the place you create within you mind} and rebuilt a new one that was much more fitting.

On a table a bleached human skull sits. I didnt put it there intentionally, in fact, i dont know why its there.

I picked it up and smashed it on the table and it just reappeared. When i move around the table it sits facing me no matter were i am. I have tried willing it away and it fades for a second then comes back.

I'm guessing my subconscious is trying to tell me something, but I dont know what.

Its possible it has to do with the fact that i just destroyed my social circle to get away from a psychic vampire. I feel like i am now free, but i cant fathom what that has to do with skulls.

Any ideas?

Can a Man Be Exiled from the Astral?

  • Posted on November 8, 2010 at 12:22 am
I have tried to astral project on and off for 2 years. Every single time I feel intense vibrations all over my body as if my soul was trying to push itself out. I see a white light and then it all goes away. I have stayed calm, I have done everything right yet I fail over and over. Well I asked a self-proclaimed Astral Projection master this same question. He said I was an incarnated Ascended Master and I was exiled from the Astral Planes. Then the conversation went to shadowy organizations, red doors, and a hidden astral society. Well that's a conversation for another place. I didn't in fact believe all of this, but it brought the question. Can a man be exiled from the Astral Planes or in anyway be blocked from exploring it?

Is Astral projection just fantasy?

  • Posted on October 17, 2010 at 4:54 pm
I have been reading some books on how to astral project and have been reading loads of information online but what ever instruction i followed it didn't work. Is astral projection just a fantasy or real? If real why can't anyone prove it?

I think all those people who claim to be astral projectors, they all experience something in their own head/imagination and there is no such thing as the astral world but i could be wrong?

I got an interesting book where the author says when in the astral body one can act upon the material plane and make himself visible to anyone he wants far removed from his physical body but he warned against giving instructions because of dangers, therefore there was no instructions given by him in his book. And if he was right where can one get such real instructions?

Interesting Symbol – Need some serious help

  • Posted on October 16, 2010 at 5:10 pm
I didn't know where else to put this topic, but I decided after much contemplation that this is the place for it to be.

This symbol is something that showed up to me about a week ago. The reason why this came up is because 2 weeks ago, my mind went completely bat-sh*t crazy. My personality changed, thoughts of extreme violence filled my head, everything that I deemed "stupid" became my reason to murder. However, my conscious thought has HUGE amounts of control against emotions due to past experiences. The thoughts and feelings of death and anger that swelled up inside of me for no good reason have happened only a couple times before in my life - all at random times. There is no cause for it, and it can not be predicted. a few days after my latest "attack", I started to feel it coming up again thanks to listening to music that rises up those emotions within me. I immediately tried to locate the "attack" in my mind and focused on what it is. The problem is that I did not find any information except this symbol that appeared right before me as a vision and did not let me go deeper into my mind. I have not been able to find out what this thing was.

Info on the symbol: The drawing is not perfect...it is a perfect pentagram and the kanji symbol (no idea what language actually is) is cleaner. There was a blue aura is blue energy surrounding it.

If anyone has ANY sort of information on this sort of symbol, that would be wonderful. I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what this symbol is so I can figure out WHAT it was that came after me - I have no idea if it was something I suppressed within me, it is a part of me that I need to face, or whether it was an outside attacker (whether it be demon, fallen angel, etc.).

Thanks guys -
Hunt Hell

[Project] EXPERIMENT Astral or Telekensis test

  • Posted on October 7, 2010 at 2:18 pm
Hello. I want to start an experiment slightly different to the ones going on at the moment.

Here are the basics:

I will take a photo of an object outside in my garden and post it on here.

You will attempt to physically move the object. You may either leave your body and come here or move it by Telekensis.

I have performed telekenesis myself to a small level. I would be interested if anyone can do it at such a long range as I am pretty sure I could not.

If you are interested then please post underneath that you are taking part. I will post the picture of the object tomorrow morning, (friday) where it will remain in the place on the photograph until Monday at Sunset. giving you ample opportunity.

Thankyou for your participation if you choose to help.

Assistance with Getting Psychic Communciation to Work

  • Posted on October 3, 2010 at 4:29 am
I am doing a private experiment with someone with the ritual described below. Sadly, after some two weeks of trying we have yet to accomplish it and I thought to ask for some advice.

The ritual is:

Go out into the open air, or to an open window, and face the quarters wherein the person is; or if the quarter be unknown face in turn each of the four cardinal points, and audibly call the name of the persons with whom communication is desired, the same as though the party was in an adjoining room, there times, earnestly, and each time with added force. While doing this extend the arms and hands, as in appeal, the while clearly picturing the person's features in the mind, and will, determinedly and persistently, that your call and message be heard. Then speak as though the person stood before you, shortly, firmly, and decidedly. Having done this listen for a reply, which will come as though one were speaking to the mind without the aid of the ear. Do not imagine a reply as that will not help but hinder communication. Of course, in most cases, it is necessary that there should exist a sympathetic bond or tie of some kind between the parties. This art may be developed by practice, by lovers especially, to an astonishing degree. It will be found very helpful to set certain times for such development.

It is taken from interjected footnotes in my copy of Agrippa's First Book. The method seems simple and well considered, but I just can't seem to get it to work.

What can I do to increase our chances?

Astrology/horoscopes(Is looking into our future necessary/beneficial?)

  • Posted on October 3, 2010 at 1:04 am
I think the beauty of life and the joy in this journey is because of the uncertainty. I feel looking into the future to be like...Cheating at a test. Or it would just make this whole experience rather boring.

I probably have this prejudice because, I come from a traditional Hindu family, in India. And here, every decision they make is based on the horoscopes and what the astrologers say.

If they say "Your daughter is gonna marry a nice Brahmin boy" Or "Your son is gonna have a successful career". They really don't care about anything else. They just sit back and do nothing. When things don't work out, they blame the astrologers or the daughter/son for deviating from their 'path'.

And I've started learning tarot recently because, I believe it can give me more insight about myself. Not necessarily my future.

Any thoughts?:?:

p.s:- I'm new here so excuse me if I sound...off:o And I really like these forums. The first occult/magick forums which is clean, without many trolls and spiders and lizards all over in the background!:D

An Experiment in Remote Viewing/Outer Body Experiences

  • Posted on September 28, 2010 at 10:50 pm
With the help of Googlemaps, I have thought to do what I hope to be a very, very interesting experiment with any and all those willing to participate.

Above is a picture of my apartment as taken from Googlemaps' Street View. All personally identifying information has been removed from the picture (as one can see), but the apartment itself is visible. Likewise, I have encircled with the black circle which one I live in, whereas the red one identifies the window which shall be used in this experiment. The blue circle around the tree indicates that this tree is no longer with us. Sadly, we had a once-in-a-century tornado that blew down many trees and it was one of those lost.

Now, the experiment is very simple:

This evening, I will tape a piece of paper to the window. On it will be written a very specific message, written in what I hope is a fairly legible, large print. The message will be visible at all times, day and night, and will be up there for the duration of the experiment.

Those participating will be asked to discern the message on the paper by any means they wish. Whether remote viewing, outer body travel, or any other psychic or occult technique that they might wish to employ.

As it is a very specific message, only those messages which closely approximate it will be counted as a hit. That is, if the message was (and it is not):

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are drempt of in your philosophy.

I would also accept:

There are many more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, then you have drempt in your philosophy.

Contrariwise, I would not accept:

Horatio Hornblower is a fictional British naval officer.

Of course, I would be amused that the name Horatio would pop up in both, but these are very different messages.

Those who wish to participate may do so provided that they make note of it in this thread. When they have thought they have the message, they may post so publically in the thread. However, even if they are correct they will not be told they are until the experiment concludes. Therefore, it is not improbable that several people will be posting the same message, although I trust that no one will simply copy someone else's answer on the chance that they are right. To avoid bad faith copiers, those who posted a duplicate of another person's answer and are wrong shall be asked not to participate in further experiments.

The experiment shall run from now until November 1st at Midnight, EST. However, if it is clear no one else is biting, the experiment will be concluded after a warning to wrap up all experiments in the next three days.

Also: I am looking for a volunteer to accept the message as a control. If you wish to be this person, simply post in the thread to ask. This is to assure those participating that I am not lying in the content of the message.

Now, with all that being said? Let's begin!

Body Suspension Ritual

  • Posted on September 22, 2010 at 7:44 pm
Wasn't sure where to post this, move at will mods!

First off, let me give you some background on the whys for this ritual so I don't have to listen to the slack about it ;)

For the past year I have been having a lot of apocalyptic, end-of-the-world kind of dreams. Sometimes they're like popular movies, sometimes they're not, but they almost always share a common thread of there being a scarcity in books (egads!), as well as me being there and running. In fact, I had one that was so bad the other night that I woke up coughing even though the dust that I had choked on didn't really exist.

As a result of these dreams, as well as a sense of foreboding, I have begun a list of things that I want to learn over the next year in order to increase my chances of survival from scrawny-ass-white-girl to kick-ass-killer-bitch. Examples of things on my list include learning to shoot a variety of guns, run a mile every other day, learn to swim, and a buttload more. I can post more on that if you guys want, let me know.

Anyways, I am planning a ritual for my birthday to kick off the year and to get me going on the list. For as long as I can remember I have been afraid of needles (to a point, heh) and of moderate heights (I can fly in a plane, but can't stand on a roof). In order to face these fears I've decided to do a suicide suspension. My husband will be throwing the hooks, and he's done it many times before for other people so I know it will be safe, clean, and done right.

Currently I'm planning on burning inscence (I know it's spelled wrong but I can't figure it out) during it, and I'd like to have the elements represented. Thought about doing it outside for that, but hubby says that it will be too cold (My birthday is the beginning of November), and he's worried I'll go into shock already since I'm so small and tend to pass out when I get piercings.

At this point I'm looking for suggestions on how to prepare for the confrontation of my fears, as well as any advice. I'm hoping for a soul journey similar to what the indigenous peoples had when they did ritual suspensions. I know that Fakir recommends a shaman be present to help guide through the journey, etc, but I don't know anybody who could do it... It's a rough idea/work in progress at this point, like I said. I keep trying to catch Case to get some input and he's always away =P I've searched the forums and I haven't found anything on this kind of a thing, so I thought it'd be a valid topic to begin a new thread on.

Here are a few links on it, for those of you who don't know anything about it, or want to know more.
