amulets against soul suckers

  • Posted on July 27, 2010 at 2:14 pm
i've studied hermeticism, alchemy etc for a few years, but i've yet to really dive into practical and ceremonial magic...so i may sound like an idiot.

i've been having occasional communications with beings in ram sleep who seem to be uploading information into me. some of these experiences are rewarding.
however, sometimes i go through weeks at a time where each day i make great strides in certain areas only to wake up the next morning feeling as though all i had learned and understood had been sucked out of me. i feel this has something to do with the geographical location where i've lived the last 5 years. i get a sense it is an area where certain beings harvest from humans' consciousnesses, and they're focusing on me now b/c they've pretty much used up the rest of the herd of baboons in this area.

i'd like to experiment with amulets or talisman that would protect me from this harvesting. i studied talisman a few years ago...but what i had learned i can't seem to find anymore for some reason. has anyone had similar experiences or heard of this? where do i begin researching and is there a specific amulet i should seek?

Qabalistic correspondences?

  • Posted on July 26, 2010 at 5:55 pm
I'm studying the theoretical and practical Qabalah right now.

I've run across a few statements made by Aleister Crowley, Israel Regardie, Franz Bardon, .etc that suggest a good Qabalist can walk down the street and "see" every object as its qabalistic definition/association...

I understood that to mean he/she can see a tube of toothpaste, for example, and say "oh that tube of toothpaste is obviously attributed to the path of Cheth".

My question is how do I even begin figuring out what means what? At first I thought...toothpaste... Okay it is related to cleanliness. So then I looked at a table of correspondences (777) but I didn't see any mundane definitions in any of the columns. There are no descriptions or examples of what a path or sephiroth include. I thought it would be like "Malkuth: Worldly things, solid things, Aleph: Happy things, things having to do with family", .etc.

So then I thought...Okay it lists Gods, maybe I can find a God who has to do with cleanliness but then none of the Gods listed really fit the bill well.

Then I thought, what if I translate the word into hebrew and then find out the numerical result.. But then I thought how can it be so arbitrary?

I'm at a loss and I can't seem to find anything that really states how one figures out the correct qabalistic association to any given thing. Can anyone help expand my knowledge?

Six-Rayed Star

  • Posted on July 26, 2010 at 5:49 pm
I haven't been able to get enough information on the purpose and attributes corresponding to the Six-Rayed Star and how it relates to the LBRP. There doesn't seem to be any info in regards to the LBRP on what exactly does this six rayed star represent and I've been having a hard time trying to figure it out. Any help would be great. Thanks.

That is amazing thank you all SO much for following Morbid Fashion.

I have been tossing around the idea of putting together another separate blog, a sister site to Morbid Fashion, where you can find the answers to questions you send to me (a lot easier than trying to search through Tumblr), tutorials, resources, shopping tips, outfit tips and things I would buy from regular and online stores (if I had the money) that are “Morbid Fashion”.

Would you read the Morbid Fashion blog?

Anapha what now?

  • Posted on July 26, 2010 at 10:57 am
So i'll explain first and ask at the end.

In the Lesser Key of Solomon there is a magical triangle which one draws towards the quarter of the spirit that you are calling. You are supposed to command the spirit into the triangle so that it obeys you. For years I had little luck. I could get them to come and get them to obey, but I could not get them in that damned triangle. This angered me for a long time. Why would they listen to what I wanted but refused to be bound to the triangle.
It was early on that I realised this may have been due to spelling mistakes. One of the names is given as Anaphaxaton and Anapheneton. no-one seems to know which one it is.

The lesser key is basically a rip off of the more popular Key of Solomon or Ptolemy the Grecian originally. (im not going back further than that, but yes there are quite apparent links with older works) So I decided to see if either of these occured in the Key of Solomon to find the correct.

Originally in the earlier manuscripts it seems that the word it came from was Anapheton, as as the various manusripts came forth it gradually changed to Anapheneton.

This interested me as I had always used Anaphaxaton with little avail. So I changed it to Anapheneton and got them to go in the triangle. But recently, I have been deliberating over making a second traingle with Anapheton just to see if it is better. Its not in the Lesser Key at all but as I say is probably the original word.

Any thoughts? What do you use and how effective have you found it? Im not really interested in getting them to do what you want, they do that anyway. Just getting them easily into and out of the triangle. With the current they do go in it, but I don't feel like it hold much power over them. I just want it to be correct! I feel like this is turning into an obsession. Its the one thing that I just dont feel works as it should.

Astrological Talismans and Karma

  • Posted on July 26, 2010 at 3:47 am
Hey guys,

I`m beginner in magick. I was thinking about talismans. I`ve read that talismans can be charged with an intention or a purpose. Some magicians sell astrological talismans for love wealth etc.

Now my question: What about karma? Is an astrological talisman stronger than karma? And if it is stronger, is it okay to mess with your own karma?
