I have adapted a new philosophy(for me anyways). Magic is said to be a tool used to achieve a goal. Some paths tell you that you should look to the world for answers before employing magic to gain an end result. It is said that this is to expel confusion and bad results for if you honestly want something you will do anything in your power to get it on your own(self-reliance) before asking for assistance from another including the none material world.
So I adapt this because I believe in that principle:
- Be kind to your body.
- You are your first line of defense in this world.
- Utilize the Earth's life to aid healing.
- Use your food as a prophylactic(preventative medicine).
- Avoid pesticide and GMO foods because they contradict the last statement.
- Seek whole body wellness(Body, Mind, and Spirit).
- Seek a shoulder to cry on and let others cry on your shoulder.
- Let laughter be your best friend.
- Use Herbs before pharmaceuticals and over the counter drugs.
- Be honest with yourself and others.
- Do not say anything to yourself you would not say to others.
- Do not say anything to yourself you would be mad at others for saying.
- Forgive but do not repress.
- Remove negative energies from your life it probably is shortening your life and making you unhappy.
- Learn as much as you can from the world and seek enlightenment.
- Use magic to assist in accomplishing this goal.
What I want to speak about is our food and what it does to our bodies. I will be brief because it is a topic I have taken classes on and have many classes to take on in the future. There is so much to know.
A. Growing your own foods.
B. Voting for corporate companies.
C. History of pesticides.
D. Nutrition
E. Healing
F. Conclusion
Summery: Growing your own foods prevents the intake of pesticides that kill bugs. Pesticides where originally developed to destroy humans. The quality of organics, home grown, and raw foods are not in its size but in its nutrition value. Making changes to your nutrition intake can effect your health. Eating healthy can heal you from the inside out.
A. Growing your own foods gives you room to know what you are eating is top quality and nutrition packed. There is no way around that. You still don't know if what you buy at Farmers Market and Whole Foods is top quality but growing your own food gives you all the knowledge of how your food is treated from the moment it was a seed to the moment it sits steaming on your plate.
B. Millions if not billions of dollars are spent by consumers supporting wealthy food industries each year. Each dollar we spend on their food is another vote towards keeping the system as it is. The current system is animal cruelty, fraud, and murder. Animals live in terrible conditions comparable to that of the holocaust quarters. They are put in homes were they are fed horrible food including remains of their diseased dead and plastic pieces as fillers. Hundreds are cramped into an area meant for maybe a hundred. The companies don't want to label our foods as GMO(Genetically modified), cloned, painted, etc. They want to change things like High Fructose Corn Syrup to Corn Sugar to hide its bad reputation behind a new face. Additionally they do not protect their own workers and expose them to pesticides and other dangerous chemicals as well as have little care for people, including children, that die from their careless work environment. So with each dollar we spend on their companies is only a vote for them to keep their current system in tact.
C. What are pesticides? Pesticides are currently known for their ability to kill bugs but let me tell you this. Bugs have practically the same nervous systems that we have and pesticides attack the nervous system. Pesticide was also developed in WWII for biochemical warfare to assist us in killing human beings. So we put them on our food? To me that does not seem very logical. Imagine finding a bug on your celery, it is dead and laying upside down, now consider the original purpose of pesticides and the nervous system of bugs, now conclude what that is doing to our bodies.
D. Cost and Nutrition go hand in hand. Market food is cheaper because it is not as nutritionally dense as organics. Nutrition Density is a set percentage we use to determine how much nutrition you get per calorie. In Market food that is no where near the amount you get with a dense organic produce. What does that mean? It means that the organic food has more vitamins, minerals, and other things your body needs to survive. Plus it doesn't have those nerve killing pesticides in them. Bigger isn't better when it comes to produce and that seems to be what market industries are after. Look at color and texture when selecting your food and above all else the taste.
E. It is only natural that our foods heal us. We have a symbiotic relationship with the planet. At least we did at some point in time. Eating nutritional food keeps our bodies in balance by giving us the ability to fight off pathologies that get us and keep us ill. With out food we would die and with bad food we would die sooner than we would with great food that may prolong our lives.
Conclusion- Let food be your guide. Listen to your instincts and learn all you can from our Earth. The spirits in this world have much to tell us about the world we live in.
Notes: I am not trying to get you to do anything. I am simply sharing information with you that I have obtained. I pass along information to others because it is right to do so. You are welcome to form your own opinion on these things.
