Overseer Dream

These are not dreams undergoing significant spiritual influence, as a matter of fact. Still, I just don't know where to begin to decipher it, hence I came here. I'll have to explain some things. I year ago I had started working on a story that had been inkling in my thoughts, within the aggregated fictitious realm of my stories (I'll refer to it as the Eldynnian World). I am sincerely g

Guru in a box

  • Posted on September 16, 2011 at 12:10 pm
I had this dream some years ago and never have been able to arrive at a satisfactory conclusion on it. The dream was lucid and the environment of the dream felt like a very real place that might perhaps exist somewhere, somewhen, somehow. I am wondering if anyone has dreamt or experienced anything similiar and what might it refer to or symbolize? Here is the dream:

I'm walking down a path and it opens up into a canyon much like the grand canyon but wider and the cliff faces are not quite as high and there is no river running through it. This is an elevated dirt path that I'm on, about ten feet higher than the surrounding terrain. As I walk this path I pass by other pathways that branch off of the one I'm on and continue down to the canyon walls where I can see a cave-like entrance. In front of the cave mouth surrounding what looks like a cauldron are these foul humanoid creatures reminiscent of zombies from the movies. They are cooking this liquid substance in these cauldrons which to me smells like death, a terrible odor. The creatures continue to move around this cauldron, stirring its contents, and making these zombie-like noise communications to one another. At the base of the path as it branches off from the one I'm on is stationed what looks like a mummy or perhaps lizard faced creature dressed in shiny leather police uniforms, hat, badge and everything. The only part of their flesh exposed is their faces, which as I said appear to be mummy-like or perhaps reptilian, leathery skin, exposed teeth, and did I mention the green glowing eyes? I walk past them and they don't seem to acknowledge my presence. I continue walking down the main path and pass several more paths branching off of it that are just like the previous ones, zombie creatures around cauldrons, police creature seemingly guarding the path, terrible smell. I continue to walk until I arrive at an open area of desert and what appears to be an apartment complex, it seems to be deserted so I go into one of the apartments to check it out. At this point I am curious about the place and am trying to investigate, I know it is lucid at this point and am not frightened or nearly as concerned, but I'm not trying to take any chances either. When I get into the apartment there is a young woman with a small child. I try to communicate with her, Where are we? What is this place I ask? She seems to be mute and of low intelligence, she cannot talk. She seems like she wants to help, there is very little means for communication between us, but I can see growing levels of concern on her face. At this time I can hear something milling around outside making these grunting and hissing sounds and then gradually there are a few somethings outside and then the young women is appearing to get more and more frightened now and then I see one of the mummy cops pass by the window. They enter the front door, and she points towards the back door and I waste no time in getting out of there. I understand I am dreaming but I am not interested in tangling with the mummy cops. Thankfully the mummy cops were not fleet of foot nor were they too smart and were easy to evade and I made my way outside the apartment complex and stayed off the main path I came in on, trying to remain unseen and figure out a way to get out of this place. I notice a cave sort of covered by brush and out of the way and unguarded, maybe it will be a good place to hide, maybe I should check it out. I walk into the cave and discover a chest. What's in the box!? I open it of course and inside is a ceremonial robe folded neatly and still inside the robe is the skeleton of the one who owned it presumably. “Who would fold up a skeleton in their ceremonial robes and stuff them in a trunk?”, I wondered. At which point I was struck with a vision. A man with white or really blonde hair with a big enzyte style smile on his face and with him a beautiful blond haired woman dressed in similiar if not a skimpier style of ceremonial robe, more like a ceremonial smock. (The robes were red in color, with silver thread and an insignia on the chest which was a circle with a vertical line through it and the line crossed twice, this insignia or seal was of gold.) He had the aura about him of a guru and the woman an admiring devotee and the vision ended. I reached into the trunk and searched underneath the robe, maybe there were other items of interest. Underneath the robe I found what appeared to be some sort of gun, red and silver, made of some sort of metal, a newfangled device to say the least. Maybe the guru was a warrior monk. As soon as I picked up the gun to check it out things started to go bad. All the mummy cops and even the zombie cauldron keepers left their posts and started coming at me en masse. My only choice at this point was to use the gun. The dream devolved into a first person shooter at this point. The gun seemed to shoot razor blades, millions of them per second, so fast that you could barely perceive them as individual razor blades but one continuous line of them and anything the line of razor blades passed through would get cut. So I was quickly cutting the zombie attackers into pieces, but they just continued to come, wave after wave of them. I have to say, I was impressed with the weapon and marveled at it as I was using it, but I was also overwhelmed with a certain sense of doom and thought that perhaps it was this weapon that lead to the “guru in the box's” demise. At this point I was running amok, trying to escape the horde. But as this zombie army closed in on me I noticed that the gun had started to cut into the very fabric of the dream-space, it was cutting everything. The whole dream started to dissolve at which point I awoke.

A little bit worried about this one….need opinions plz

  • Posted on April 18, 2011 at 2:54 pm
Like 5 days ago right before waking up this was stuck in my head: The 18th. Then, 3 days ago I have a really weird dream:

I dont know how, but some kind of a blast threw a lot of fish hook looking needles on my tongue. Its covered with them. As I am talking, they get swallowed. Worried about it, I am thinking of going to the hospital. The furthest I got was the "teller window" and I didnt go through. Some time after that, all is left from then is only 3 at the bottom of my tongue. BUT, I have hardly any teeth too! I start pulling them out painlessly and I am left with only 3 of them too.

Now, losing teeth in my country (Macedonia) means death. Then the 18th that was given to me earlier. I am set to travel to my country on the 17th of May, still flying on the 18th of May too. I am kinda scared from this :(

Any thoughts?

Blue Scarab

  • Posted on February 19, 2011 at 6:06 pm
I recently had a vivid dream experience with a large metallic blue scarab-like beetle (so it seemed). It was about 6 inches long with a head more like a praying mantis; triangular with big eyes. This was not a lucid dream, just the normal dream before waking but the experience has stuck with me for a few days now since it happened; bugs in my dreams are rare. All I can really remember of the dream was from the beginning of the appearance of the beetle at a window on a door. It was looking directly at me and made its way through a screen into the room I was in. It then would fly around and settle on a wall or some object and look back at me or seemed to wait for me to approach it. I kept struggling to capture a picture of it with a camera I had but it would continually fly off. This went on for a while before I tripped over something and landed on my back. The beetle was now behind my head on the floor at my neck. It was doing something I could only feel and I could hear a rustling sound. I thought it was attempting to bore its way into me so I starting trying to swipe it away and that is when I woke up.

I have not done any meditating on this experience nor have I seriously researched any meanings or symbolism as of yet. I am not sure if this could be connected to any magical work I've done recently; the last being a scrying earlier this month (February) of what I call "the coordinates" but am not making a connection. There was a time a few years ago when I was working extensively with Atu XVIII: The Moon from the Thoth and I am quite aware of the Keph-Ra/Khepri connection there as well as Qoph (back of the head) which is how I've literally interpreted the end of this dream so far with the beetle doing something at the back of my head. That connection has not escaped me so I have considered that perhaps this has something to do with those workings a few years ago; a sort of flashback or re-emergence.

So without attaching too much to this yet I am curious if anyone may have some personal insights into what this particular experience may mean in this context or if anyone else has had experiences with a similar dream bug. Please do not just google up various tidbits of trivia on beetles/scarabs and post it here. I am perfectly capable of doing that myself if I should seek info that way. As I said, personal insights or experiences only though I don't mind sharing things you may have learned over the years as well.;)

Porcelain Dolls

  • Posted on February 19, 2011 at 12:35 am
They don't frighten me. But over the past several years I've had a recurring dream; actually a recurring location within dreams, that involve porcelain dolls. So I'm thinking there might be something to them symbolically.

This has only happened to me a few times in my life. It started some time within the past 9 years. There is a room that pops up every now and then. It doesn't matter what the dream is about at first. This room can appear at any time and it always looks the same. The first time I came across this room, I was walking down an empty hallway. The most recent time it showed up, I was entering an old, run-down, building several stories tall and made of cement.

I never have a choice of entering the room. Once I know it's there... I"m in it... although there is a small fraction of time that I stand outside it looking in knowing exactly whats going to happen once I'm inside. It's always well lit. The color tone is the same as incandescent lighting, soft yellow/white. The lighting doesn't fit the decor. The room is very Victorian and very lavishly decorated. An empty chair with a throw blanket, a small table, possibly a lamp. The main detail that always pops out to me are the walls. They are completely covered with porcelain dolls. The room and everything in it is clean and looks well taken care of. Once I'm inside the room, things go downhill quickly. An overwhelming sense of dread comes over me. The room feels heavy. As if the dread has coalesced and permeates every inch of the area inside. I get the intense feeling that I need to leave, but I cannot. It's not like being scared stiff, I could move if I would just do so, but I don't. There's nothing else in the room, no person, or entity that I can sense. It's as if the room itself is alive. Nothing moves, the dolls aren't looking at me. I don't even feel like the room wants to harm me. But I know I have to leave... and the only way to do that is to wake myself up. The experience in this room is always, exactly, the same. When the feeling of dread reaches a critical point, I begin to become conscious. I have to deliberately pull myself out of the sleeping state. And that's what it feels like, pulling myself back through an extremely thick liquid. When I begin to regain conscious awareness of my body, I can hear my breathing, it's deep and fast. It's my breathing that finally allows me to wake. I never wake startled, like a normal nightmare would startle someone awake. I just wake up. Open my eyes and start to breath normally. After that, I'll lay in bed for a few minutes, close my eyes, and fall back asleep. I usually don't dream for the rest of the night.

I've never had bits and pieces of this room appear in any other dreams. It's either there in its entirety, or it isn't. So I don't know what this room might be. Or what the contents of the room might mean. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or knows anything about the symbolism because none of it makes sense to me. I can usually pick up on different symbols within normal dreams and trace them back to the cause. But not this.

Intuition about pathworking on the tree

  • Posted on January 22, 2011 at 10:07 am
Hello all,

As I am about to start my daily ritual work I am struck by a sudden, subtle rememberance of a dream I had last night. My dreams are almost never vivid or recollable but I often remember a tiny bit.

I remember somehow in a dream I got the notion that when pathworking on the tree to start numberically, I.E. The Magus first as opposed to The World first which I presumed was the proper method;

I am unsure whether this is the correct way or gains any insight as I am completely in the dark over pathworking and its idiosyncrosies

Hope to gain some more insight from this,

-Frater S.E.

They were important, and in life i have found myself drawn to them since the dream.

What do these feathers represent?

I need help!

  • Posted on December 20, 2010 at 6:36 pm
Ok, so I've had a very disturbing dream and need some help figuring it out. I've googled and all that good stuff, but could not find specifically what I was looking for.
I dreamed that I tried to drown my son. I am VERY traumatized by this obviously. I can't get it out of my mind! I wasn't holding him under water, but was pouring water into his mouth and nose. At one point I even put my hand over his mouth and nose to prevent him from breathing. He was crying and struggling of course and the really disturbing thing is, I was happy while doing this. It didn't seem to bother me at all. I was smiling the whole time. wtf? I almost cry every time I think about it. It just happened last night and I'm so horrified by it that I literally can't think of anything else. In the dream, I always stopped short of drowning or suffocating him, almost giving him time to recover before doing it again.

I woke up a couple of times during this perhaps in my attempt to stop the horror. But every time I dozed back off, it would just begin again. The dream is still very fresh in my mind and I can see it clearly right down to the terror in his eyes.

I don't feel I should need to point this out, but I love my son with every fiber of my being. I am not sure if it would be possible for me to go on if I ever lost him. I know deep down in my soul that I would never do anything to hurt him. I do not resent him in any way. He is my life.

I've looked up drowning and it just talks about dreaming that you are drowning or someone else drowns but not that you are the one drowning someone. I looked up killing someone, but I'm not sure that is appropriate since I didn't actually kill him.

I desperately need help. I'm not sure when or how I will be able to get over this. I feel such incredible guilt for dreaming it. Am I secretly a bad person? Is there some hidden meaning? Why?! Why would I dream something so horrible?

wow i had a bizzare one

  • Posted on November 27, 2010 at 4:04 am
I dreamed I was in Jurassic Park, but it was a petting zoo and full of small dinos just wandering around letting kids pet them. I was with the ranger from the movie, and he said, "of course they're not dangerous, I raise them from birth, how could they attack anyone" I told him I saw him savaged and die in the movie and he said "they showed it wrong, they were just nuzzling me". I went to a gift shop and bought a little pet dino as big as my hand and was holding it. Then a raptor, which was as small as a turkey and had had bushy black feathers on its body like an ostrich, but a bald snapping head, started chasing my little dino around the gift shop. I picked up the raptor, and it had a snapping mouth but i just handed to the ranger who said "naughty boy" and I caught my little dino who was running round the gift shop in a panic.

3 Haunting Dreams of Mine

  • Posted on November 4, 2010 at 11:49 pm
My first slightly disturbing dream. I was working as a greeter at some kind of restaurant. My shift was over and I walked outside towards my car. I passed some kind of alley. It was late at night and it seemed pretty deserted out.

An Asian man with long hair and a goatee was standing smoking a cigarette. He was dressed in jeans and a leather jacket, but he had an ancient, primal feel to him. I'm quite sure he was Mongolian. Well then I looked into his eyes. Pure black. I got a sense of extreme anger. I hated this man with every fiber of my being. I was about to jump on him like an animal, swinging, scratching, biting, but something inside me fought this hatred off. I walked away. This did not make the man happy. He gave me rude gestures and glared at me. This set my anger off tenfold. I felt more beast then human and I couldn't even fight it, but he did not even seem angry he looked as if he was enjoying it. Then he stepped behind a truck and I couldn't see him.

This should make a normal person give up the confrontation, but I was drawn to him by a strong mix of curiosity and anger. My legs seemed to move on their own accord and drew me towards the truck. Then I stopped. I lost control of my body and couldn't even move. The man was laughing and that's when I felt fear. His face began melting and a new head shown out underneath. The head of a lizard. I remember him saying he will enjoy eating me and then he licked his lips(or whatever lizards have instead of lips). All my conflicting emotions of anger, hatred, curiosity, awe, and fear mixed together. A wave of energy burst out of my mind as if a tornado formed an I was it's eye. My dream world was blown away and with it the lizard man.

The second dream was a basic heroic fantasy. I was shirtless with a sword across my back wandering the countryside of some enormous magickal land. I remember I was on a quest of the most urgent kind, but I forget the actual quest. I wandered into a house and saw a giant tree. There were dryads there, a Greek woman and an Persian woman sitting up on a branch. I immediately asked the Greek dryad to have sex with me. She denied me and seemed disgusted. But I noticed the Persian dryad was infatuated with me. The Greek woman said "its time for you to face the tiger." She smiled and said "Let's see if you can survive this." She then threw me a phone and said "call him when your ready." Then I asked the Egyptian dryad if she was interested and we proceeded to make love. I feel as if I am somehow somehow connected to Alexander the Great and Julian the Apostate. Perhaps the Greek woman personified Greece rejecting the two and so they faced Persia in hopes of winning it. And perhaps India is the Tiger. Their my only thoughts on it.

The third dream now was more disturbing. I remember being saved(from what I don't know) by a lady. I was in her house and she was amazing. Like sunshine personified. She left me for a few minutes. I sat and wait and then surprisingly a shadow morphed from a dark corner of the room. It was an old lady. Darkness personified. She was holding a pastry of some kind. She asked if I would like it. I suddenly noticed my hunger gnawing at me and I begged her for it. She handed me it then smiled and disappeared. I gobbled it down and I felt satisfied. The sunshine lady came back and looked horrified at me. I felt poisoned. Like something horrible was inside me and changing me. I stuck my entire hand down my throat to attempt to gag it up. The lady said disappointed almost "You won't get it out that way." Then she walked away to leave me to whatever horrible fate awaited.

Dream review after Tiamat invocation.

  • Posted on October 21, 2010 at 6:03 am
Before going to bed last night, I did a Tiamat invocation (which definitely worked, as I felt a sudden increase in heat around me as I declared the invocation), and told Tiamat that I wish to make an alliance between she and I. I also asked that I want to get a dream message regarding what the benefits would be.

The dream that night held scenes of a very protective bird (a pidgeon, I think) that possessed magick and was also wrathful toward my enemies. I think at one point it healed or revived me.

Another remembered part of the dream was where some family friends were unjustly kicked out of their home by the police and forced to live somewhere else. I felt an urge to fight back.

A long time coming (@#$% you SPIDERS!)

  • Posted on September 12, 2010 at 10:49 am
Hi, everyone.

So for the last couple months, I've been having bug dreams. I used to have them like 3x/week, about two months ago. Then I hardly ever got them for quite a while.
Now I had a dream about a black widow last night...

I don't know what led up to this point in the dream, but I was with a friend who's a pretty sketchy guy if you know what I mean. We're in the courtyard of my parent's house. So he sees a clump of bugs, or something, on a sort of tree branch ( hard to describe) and pulls of a segment of the branch. When he pulls it off ( I heard him rip it off but then i had to look), I look and it's a part of a long, light-green plant with small seeds hanging off of it (not sure if those are called spores... I can't remember. It's really hard to describe, and I can't find a relevant image anywhere on the internet.) He brings it inside the house for some reason, and a spider jumps off of it (black widow. I have black widow spiders outside in my parent's courtyard) and it chases me. Then I feel it crawling on me and I flip out and wake up. then I feel the sensations for about 10 seconds after waking up.

I will probably need to clarify...

Also I'd like to note that this friend I was talking about is a nice guy, who gets involved with the wrong people. In the dream he's at his teenager age for some reason, and he also doesn't have any malicious intent during the dream (he didn't intentionally bring the spider in...)

So I have my own ideas about what this might mean, but I don't want to color yours.

The dreams I used to have went like this:

I'd be somewhere, and a bug would come out of nowhere. Then the camera angle, if you will, would move, and I'd step on a new bug-thing. The vivid image in my mind points me to some kind of thing with teeth in the middle and green leafing on the outside. I don't actually step on it, and it doesn't chow down on me (that's got to be important so I included it). Then I find masses of more bugs, spiders, and more chasing me, and I back up and back up, dream ends.
The scenery for this is a bright summer day, at the driveway of a friend's house. His driveway starts high and goes down as you go further into it.

I stopped having those for quite a while. But when I did have them, it was very frequent and annoying.

So yeah. that's quite a jumbled, disorganized post. but I typed this in a frenzy.

Also would like to note I freaked out and thought I might have bedbugs, although there is no proof of bites anywhere.

Dream with Crowley?

  • Posted on September 7, 2010 at 6:14 pm
I was being taught about the solar system and how the sun orbits a central star (I don’t know if it meant an actual star or the black hole at the center of our galaxy). As the sun orbits this star; its orbital path changes a little each time. I then watched the sun’s orbital path change as it circled. The weird thing was that the vertical dimension represented time so as the sun orbited; the whole super-solar system was moving downwards in a helix-like fashion (I can’t remember if, at this part of the dream, the sun was orbiting a black hole or another star. However, the sun was alone in its orbit; nothing else was orbiting the central star). Then, I was being taught magic by Aleister Crowley. He was wearing white robes and I think a mask. He said you could use your mind to place a magical point. He made one to show me; its color was red. He taught me that alone, this point did nothing but, if you placed two, a beam would flow out from you through the points and could be used to strike enemies. He then made a second point, which was also red, and a purple beam shot out from him through the two points. After I learned it, I tried to teach it to a girl. After I showed her the first magical point, she ran away from me so she could go and steal something. I chased after her and after her theft was finished, we returned to the site of the teaching. After we got back, I woke up.

Concerning Crowley, I don't know why I am assuming that the tutor in the dream was Crowley. He didn't introduce himself to me, and may have been wearing a mask. It's weird that when I woke up I thought that he was the tutor...

Any thoughts / interpretations?

A dream of sorcerers, death, geodes, and the river…

  • Posted on July 16, 2010 at 10:04 am
Dear friends,

I had a rather strange dream and was wondering if you would be so kind as to offer an interpretation of its events.

I was in my house with my sister and neighbour Felix, except my house was transplanted out of our suburban area and into a forest before a body of water.

Our door was replaced by a curtain, a veil like the one in Crowley's Gnostic Mass. Suddenly, a strange white-skinned sorcerer in dark red and black robes began to pace back and force in front of the veil uttering evocations of unnamed, but malicious beings.

Worried he would see us, I closed the veil fully to keep him out, but he heard the motion of me closing the curtain and opened it, staring piercingly at us. We turned to run and my neighbour Felix began to climb up on top of the house outside of my view. When I finally made it to where he was, I heard screams from his family; he had fallen and died.

Then I heard the sorceror pronounce, in a commanding voice, that my sister and I could leave; he only wanted Felix's dead body.

My sister and I decided to part ways. I walked on down to the river and through the water until I came to a black man who was smashing rocks he was collecting from a small grating. I asked him why he was doing so and he said it was because he was looking for geodes. Sure enough, he smashed open some rocks to reveal beautiful scintillating purple, blue and brown crystals, but he was unsatisfied with them.

I decided to look at the rocks on his grating to see if I could find crystals of my own. Breaking open a rock, I found a geode of blue-purple crystals. I also found a few pieces of Tiger's Eye, which I decided to give to my girlfriend. However, when I later looked at one of the pieces, I saw that its shine was gone and it looked inert, almost like wood or coarse stone.

Awakening, I thought to myself that the geode is a powerful metaphor for the human being: coarse on the exterior, but shining with crystalline, luminescent beauty within.

What do you think of this strange dream? What could it have signified?

Thank you for your insight and care. :)

Take care,
Adam
