Hello all! Been at least a year since my last post. I still lurk and read many cool things here. Frankly, I'll admit: I get overwhelmed by the wealth of info on this site and in my source material, it's good to just portion off a thing at a time. So I've been reading, reading, reading. The sourceworks series by Skinner keeps a mind busy, and I have yet to tackle Agrippa's three books, or Pete

greater banishing ritual hexagram of mars

I have been working with the greater banishing ritual of the hexagram recently. I was experiencing some problems in my home with family members who were acting rather destructively. I thought it might help to try the ritual using the banishing hexagram of mars. Instead of making things less destructive, it made me feel extremely violent myself.

Did I do wrong by attempting to use this ritu

I've read Bardon's magick books, and I can't help getting over my initial skpeticism I had after the first few pages of the practice section in IitH.

It seems like Bardon wanted to make a western magician an all powerful archmage, kind of like a combination of all the siddhe's the eastern saints, avatars, and masters had.

Understanding Qabbalah Pathworking

 • Posted on September 9, 2011 at 3:07 pm
I have practiced pathworking on the Tree of Life for a while now. I've done each path corresponding to the major arcana of the tarot at least 3 or 4 times each. I followed the instructions in Ted Andrew's book "More Simplified Magic: Pathworking and the Tree of Life". The book seems to give a pretty conventional and straightforward method for "composition of place" using the images and symbols related to the various sephirah etc.

I am so thankful for all the interesting things I have learned, all that I have experienced in doing all that work. But still, I feel like there is a huge gap in my understanding. Each time, I just went through the motions, and then just waited to see what would happen. I know I got results: After doing them, usually I would get all sorts of epiphanies, vivid dreams and/or synchronicities. I would wake up in the morning feeling so energetic. But only occasionally was it obvious how the results was related to the particular pathworking I did. It's like I'm just pressing random buttons on a big mysterious vending machine and then I never know what's going to come out of it.

So does anyone know a book or something that can help me understand the process better? Or help me figure out how to use the pathworkings in a directed and more goal-oriented manner? Or is trying to do that misguided or unrealistic?

To give you some idea of my background: I've worked through some of "Modern Magick" a few years ago, I've read Dion Fortunes "Mystical Qabbalah" backwards and forwards and some other basic books about the Tree and the sephirah.

In my practices I have learned so much about myself, and "accidently" gotten over psychological blockages. But whenever I try to accomplish or learn something specific I do not see any progress.

For example, I have read that one is able to do a pathworking to Daath and access the akashic records and get answers to questions. I have tried that a few times and it has never worked at all. I dunno, maybe I didn't want the answers enough or something.

Grimoiric magic – the synthesis of symbology and return to pagan origins

 • Posted on September 6, 2011 at 11:51 am
My interest, among many, is ancient grimiores - in particular, symbology found therein and what the symbols themselves mean. My deepest interest is their origins. It is known fact that today's ceremonial magic by large is based on christo-judaic processes; basically christian 'white' magic. But the symbols and spirit references attached to them are much old than either religion, and have sources in practices now mostly erased by both those religions over the ages.

Today, research and archeological finds have restored parts of the past that efforts to erase these older pagan practices undertook. In this thread I would like to discuss these topics - and all connected to it, to share info and veiws on ways to solve the riddles presented in the topic and ways to resolve or solidify past practice information. I do not use any new age references or information. All I refer to is often considered 'ancient ceremonial magic', though some of it I do not consider that old in the scheme of things.

A testament of the colouring of the elements in the Human Energy Body

 • Posted on September 3, 2011 at 12:34 am

Here, the four elements are depicted inaccurately left to right as ; earth brown negative , water aqua negative, air white positive and fire orange positive.

Historically the basal human energy body began white day on right and black night on left but today the average human begins life with at least the bi polar energy body of red and blue, as below;

Bi polar Tree of Life ; red right male and blue left female as espoused by Bardon in IIH

But centuries ago, mystics perceived that the working alchemist developed tetrapolar limbs as depicted here in this image from Adam Mclean's Alchemy Web. However, this one is coloured backwards, so I reversed the image.
*right leg red earth
*right arm yellow fire
*left arm blue water
*left leg brown dormant (becomes green with air the 4th tattwa to erupt)

Red rises on the right male side and Blue falls on the left female side but the body remains bisected and bipolar until yellow rises at the completion of the first work of the sun.

Then the tetrapolar limbs colour up in this order; right leg , right arm , left arm, left leg in a widdershins flow through the energy body. So yellow is the third coloured energy to emerge. As the sun rises up through the energy channels of the leg , it colours up the right leg which becomes a light orange red or salmon red.

The sun fully rises into the arm where the brighter yellow makes the right red arm become orange. (red+yellow=orange). Then the yellow pushes the sun over the heart and down into the left side where the bright blue becomes indigo with just a trace of red being displaced by the flow from the right to left . (blue+a bit of red= indigo).

The yellow sun sets falling from the chest or SunStone into the left leg which brightens that blue considerably. With no traces of red this produces a chartreuse green left leg (blue+yellow=green).

Revising, the limbs coloured up like this; right leg, right arm, left arm, left leg in a widdershins flow through the body which continues to colour up in this manner;right red male side becomes salmon red EARTH right leg and orange FIRE right arm. left blue female side becomes indigo WATER left arm and chartreuse green AIR left leg.

Later the energy of the limbs flows into the peripheral centres at the very end of each finger and toe. When the phalanges colour up these manifest colours first in the right foot , then the right hand , then the left hand and finally in the left foot, and so forth.

The heavier base elements are depicted as leaden weights here. These are water and earth. The cloud is air and the sun is fire. The penitent kneeling and eager seeking monk wants to attain the Heavens. He beseeches the angel with lead pipes legs for occult hidden wisdoms. The angel's head is in heaven beneath the rainbow bridge of the afterlife realms. He symbolises "The way" through the Sun to heaven as through the son or eternal spirit teacher Christ to God.

These lighter brighter elements bring the magician closer to heaven as depicted in this image which is also from Adam McLean's alchemy web. The method is to dump heavier leaden earth by flushing it out of the pipes with water.

Then the magician draws in more fire to heat the remaining air like a hot air balloon and they achieve lift. In this manner the magician attains the highest realms and can separate a mystic mental body to attain Kether.

These images are on the right track the left female side is air and water
and the right male side is fire and earth. Also air and fire are depicted above because they are positive and water and earth are below because these are negative which does make sense. However, on the Human Energy Body that is not exactly the case.

2 orange fire right arm.....................3 indigo blue left arm
1 salmon red earth right leg..............4 chartreuse green left leg

Now these three elements have also coloured up the three stones on the human energy body. But the wicks are not depicted here. The red earth colours up the belly or EarthStone and is eventually fed by a reciprocal green air wick with the treasure Ching. The yellow fire colours up the chest or SunStone and is fed by a reciprocal blue water wick with the treasure chi.The
blue water colours up the head or MoonStone and is fed by a reciprocal golden fire wick with the treasure shen which promotes clairvoyance. When these three primary energy storage centres or stones have been cured then a golden mantle of energy will clairvoyantly appear upon the mystic's shoulders. This is evident in some magicians from past life works even
when they have not recalled the efforts of their soul...yet. The silver flame of anu spins at the top of the heart. Much later a supernal HeavenStone colours up a chartreuse green above the head.

The wicks or Taoist Tan tiens are a layer within the primary channel which facilitates the creation of the reciprocal noble energy through that centre. So fire flows through the water or MoonStone and air flows through the earthstone.

These energy colourings can be viewed clairvoyantly in dim light after powering up in the sacred chamber in trance. The magician can develop the ability to monitor their own progress by observing the colours of the human energy body. This is aided by projecting 1 metre from the body in bi location to observe one's own progress. By reading the energy body of one's peers, the predictable continuum becomes evident. If fortunate, your peers may help you to monitor your progress by reading you. Alternatively, the magician may penetrate with their clairvoyant vision through the skin into the limbs or they might project into a limb to view the energy within it.

Despite observations from alchemists and mystics centuries ago, there continues to be much conjecture about the colours of Hermetic elements even when this testament is available to us. Amongst various branches of magic, earth is considered either brown, green, yellow or red, for example. And the other elements are similarly depicted in a wide variety of colours.

So, clairvoyantly observe the colours and see for yourself. If your clairvoyance is insufficient, now,it is only a stage so do not be disheartened. All humans can become magicians. All magicians can develop their clairience through flow of energy, attunements and kundalini events, alchemical works , magickal experiences and time spent in altered states of consciousness ie trance meditation and dreamstate.

Franz Bardon is notably a Hermetic genius but clairvoyance was not his forte. He teaches in IIH that the energy body is red electric male on right and blue magnetic female water on left which is correct.

However he assumes that the red is fire which is incorrect. Fire is a higher element and it does not appear until after the completion of Solar Works or the Work of the Sun. When it appears it is yellow, orange and golden.

And Bardon assumes that the female is entirely negative and that the male is entirely positive and that is incorrect. A magnet has both positive and negative magnetic poles and so does the woman and the female side of our energy bodies. Water is the negative female pole and air is the positive one.

As can be seen in images above, there were earlier Hermetic Alchemists whom believed that air and water were on the left female side of the Tree of Life and that fire and earth were on the right male side of the Tree of Life in the magician's human energy body.

In the Kaballahistic Tree of Life the orange and red sepiroth are found on the right side of the body. The right arm is crowned at the shoulder by the sephira of Geburah and the right leg is crowned at the hip by the sepiroth of Hod. These two spheres are on the Pillar of Severity on the right male side of the Tree of Life but the colouring is reversed. The orange sphere can be clairvoyantly viewed, in ideal conditions, like a tiny plum or mandarin in size upon the right shoulder of the magician when it ripens. Similarly, the other spheres are found upon the human energy body like dimly lit jewel toned coloured orbs or like christmas tree ornaments. The left shoulder is crowned by the indigo Chesed and the left hip is crowned by the green Netzach. The colouring of the jeweled sephiroth will improve with development as does the rest of the human energy body. The orbs of the limbs change from red, orange, indigo and chartreuse to ;ruby, golden, silver and emerald.

Bardon suggests that the head of a female is distinct from a male but that is not the case. All magicians have water coloured MoonStones which are predominantly heavy dark wet magnetic female colours of platinum blue to indigo. And Bardon suggests that the head is electric but it is not. However the wick within it is electric and it holds the treasure of Shen. The wick is a river unto a stone this one flows from the heart through the throat to the nose to the third eye. The Taoists correctly point out that the female wick called the female tan tien has a treasure of fire or Shen, which is electric. Later in IIH Bardon suggests that fire is necessary to see and he is correct.

Bardon says fire is male and that is right but he says it is red. This is not correct. Fire is orange and Sun is yellow as evidenced in the energy body right arm and chest , solar plexus and SunStone and in the golden fire of Shen which is the 6th precious element golden Amoris. The magician can flare energy from the right hand and feel heat energy which is hot and light and dry. The magician can flare energy from the heel of the right foot and feel that this is Earth because it is heavy and damp and cold.

Moon is a higher water and Sun is a higher fire.

Further proof is easy to obtain. Invoke a colour draw it into you and through you . Construct a blanket of a colour and absorb that energy. Breathe in the colour and imbibe your pores with it. Draw in yellow energy and feel the heat of the sun and draw in blue energy and feel the cold wet heavy energy of water. So we can establish that fire is yellow to orange and that water is blue to indigo.

The primary colours of the colour wheel for paint mixing et cetera are red, yellow and blue.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primary_color

Together we have a combination of 4 colours red and blue in both and yellow in one and green in the other. Fittingly these make the four colours of the Hermetic elements with red and blue being the basal primary elements followed by yellow and green in that order.

The primary colours of light are red ,green and blue. Since Fire is yellow and Water is blue that leaves us with the unassigned primary colour of light and paint which is red and the unassigned primary colour of light which is chartreuse green. One of these must be earth and the other must be air.

This is obvious because the earth is basal, heavy and grounding. As we draw in red energy we sink like iron. Yet when we draw in green energy we separate from the body and float , air lifts.

Bardon says air is male and blue. This is not correct. Water is blue and indigo and female as evidenced in the left female arm which is indigo and in the female tan tien or MoonStone which is platinum blue to indigo. Bardon wrote that water is green and earth is yellow. These are also incorrect.

Earth is red like iron and clay. It becomes salmon red when mixed with yellow sun. Earth is warm, damp, dark, heavy, negative and male. Earth begins in the right male side of the Tree of Life and colours also the right leg , the right middle finger and the belly or EarthStone. Pink is the colour of the middle nadi running up the perineum through the spine and then coarsing throughout the human energy body. Pink is a colour of Earth too. Pink is the colour of Sushumna the son or prince.

Water is blue like the ocean reflecting the sky. Water is cold, wet, dark, heavy, negative and female. Water begins in the left female side of the Tree of Life and colours also the left arm , the right ring finger and it is platinum blue on the head or MoonStone. Blue is the colour of the cold lunar nadi running through the spine. It is the left channel of Ama, Ida, Parvati et al the Great Goddess. This passive moon channell is called Ida and it meanders in a helix like manner through the spine and limbs and throughout the human energy body.

Fire begins yellow like the sun and becomes orange when mixed with earth. Fire is hot, dry, bright, light, positive and male. Fire is orange as witnessed clairvoyantly on the right arm and in the right pinky and it is yellow on the chest or SunStone. The right channel of Abba, Yahweh, Shiva, the All Father is called Pingala. This nadi is active and solar.

There are 14 principle nadis the fourth is not a primary nadi and the magician waits and longs for her arrival. Air is the fourth nadi called the princess Gandhari.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gandhari_%28character%29
Air is cool, damp, bright, light, positive and female. Air lifts. Air is the colour of water and fire mixed. Blue +Yellow=Green. It is the proof of the consummation of the marriage of the Moon and Sun. Air colours up the right index finger and eventually colours up the supernal HeavenStone when it manifests above the head. Air is the colour of the Emerald Tablet and it will temporarily colour up the upper arms and thighs in emerald green after this work is completed by the magician.

The tertiary colours sapphire and amber flow through the body to form this emerald colouring, after the completion of the works called the Emerald Tablet. This colouring is the temporary absence or binding up and neutralising of all the remaining red earth after an infusion of sun and moon energies in Kundalini events. These works create the emerald colouring as the enobled blue Moon and the ennobled yellow Sun create their daughter called the promised princess in emerald green.

During this stage the four chambers of the heart become 8 hermetic chambers which fill 4 lozenges in the front of the chest and 4 more on the back. The back of the heart remains coloured by the primary Hermetic colours as depicted on the fingers on the right hand. The front becomes coloured up with the secondary Hermetic colours as depicted on the fingers on the left hand ;
*rose earth
*purple water
*amber fire
*aqua air

Bardon says Purple is the colour of the neutral gender hermaphrodite. And he is correct. But purple is not the colour of Akasa as he alludes. In the next paragraph, Bardon says that the sun is golden yellow and the akashic moon is silver white, which is correct.

(AIR female cool damp bright lightest active positive magnetic) Colours of Air are basal chartreuse, secondary is aqua, tertiary is white and the higher Emerald Tablet is emerald green.

(FIRE male hottest driest brightest light active positive electric)
Colours of Fire are basal yellow then orange, Secondary is topaz and Tertiary is amber. The higher nobler element of Sun is golden.

(WATER female coldest wettest dark heavy passive negative magnetic)
Colours of Water are basal blue, then indigo on the left arm and right ring finger and platinum blue in the MoonStone or head. Secondary water is violet Tertiary is Sapphire. The higher Moon is silver akasha

(EARTH male warm damp darkest heaviest passive negative electric)
Colours of Earth are basal red then salmon red on the belly and right leg and middle right finger and as the body develops Secondary earth is rose and Tertiary earth is black. The higher Philosopher's Stone is ruby as Bardon cites.

The primary colours appear on the fingers of the right hand. The secondary colours appear on the fingers of the left hand.

The tertiary colours appear on the fingers of the left glove. The higher noble colours appear on the fingers of the right glove.

The body colours up in each stage of every work in this order beginning works in purple neutral hermaphrodite,

blue sapphire water works,

chartreuse green air works,

yellow fire works,

white waning moon,

black new moon,

red earth works,

silver full moon,

golden sun culmination.( the skin appears golden not white as depicted here but I used white to showcase the brilliant colours on the magnificiently ebullient energy centres of the culminating stage perhaps best evident in the human energy body feet.

And so it goes...

"Goetia Evocation" help needed

 • Posted on September 1, 2011 at 4:26 am
Hi,

This is mike and i am pretty new to magik stuff. I've did a lot of research about goetia and tried evocation 5-6 times. I have refered and followed "Illustrated Goetia" and "Magical Evocation - Franz Bardon" for my magical evocation and the spirit i was trying to evoke is "Orobas".

I have a printed 7 feet long magical circle and triangle with me, and all the prayers and spells works well with me, i believe. I do "LBRP" first and "The bornless ritual" referred by Alester Crowley. When i do the rituals i can sense all the thigs works well the banishing and invoking air, water and fire, i can sense it being invoked when i do it. I can also feel the presence of the spirit outside the triangle.

I have tried 5 times for evoking "Orobas" with the help of his seal and sigils and except the first time, that is 4 times he showed up, but outside the triangle. No matter how many times i say "get in to the triangle" nothing happens, and i really do not know what to do next. I can also sense some times, when i give license to depart something run away from my premises.

Please help me....

Magick at the Gym

 • Posted on August 28, 2011 at 4:47 pm
I've been lifting weights and running for about 10 years now, and I've been very slowly dipping my toes into ritual magic for the past 4 years. Lately I've been experimenting with various ways of using ritual and meditation to enrich my weighlifting practice. I'd love to hear from others who have found ways of integrating magickal practice with athletics.

When I first started lifting, my motivation was primarily to develop a sexy body. That of course remains one layer of motivation. But now I'm wanting to understand (a) the simple satisfaction of being in the moment with my body and energy, and (b) the potential for working out to awaken lovingkindness and open my mind to transpersonal levels of awareness. There's already something very ritualistic about weighlifting, so I see great potential for conceiving it as another expression of my spirituality, a kind of laboratory for inner alchemy.

Here are some of the things I've tried: meditating for 10 minutes directly before working out; a full 40-minute ritual sequence (qc+lirp+lbrh+mp) directly before working out; cultivating various energy circulation patterns (esp. "the fountain") while running on the treadmill and prior to each exercise; working words of power before my workouts to set the intention of manifesting an "ideal" workout (with joy, intensity, surrender, and for the good of all); after my workout, lying down to visualize and feel my body growing and healing itself; recording and listening to my own self-hypnosis scripts for instilling the values that support holistic athletic practice; wearing a talisman to attract focus and yang energy.

What have others tried? I'd love to hear about successes, failures, and everything in between.

If I had one wish, it would be for a nice collection of inspiring, upbeat music with spiritual/magickal/mystical qualities. The music they play at the gym doesn't light my fire, but most of my spiritual music is too down-tempo. Here's one example of what I'm looking for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nj6JiXjErTI

Tara blow your horn, and all be blessed!

"This is further proper to acquire understanding and knowledge of all things created and to seek out and penetrate into hidden things; and to command those spirits called Allatori to perform embassies."

All that a quick Google search provided me was multiple listings for strange software and a whole lot of people asking just what "Allatori" were. Can anyone here provide me with more info ??

The concept of duality between everything and nothing

 • Posted on August 14, 2011 at 9:10 pm
Well for the last 12 weeks i've been trying to understand the idea of everything/nothing as of 6 days ago i was making little headway but something happened i found myself able to accept and understand that if everything exists nothing exist's with it, then moved to it exists within in it, then alongside it parallel to it, and finally outside it containing all of creation within non-creation and then coming to a quiet humble acceptance that none of this actually exists except within the subjective mind, wich plummeted me into a state of "deep" gnosis.

So what im asking here is has anyone else ,for lack of better words, thought of and pondered this and if so what were your thoughts and feelings and what was your conclusion on the matter if you had one at all that is.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section it seemed the best choice at then time.

Beginning Enochian workings

 • Posted on August 12, 2011 at 4:54 am
Hello!

Seeing that the Enochian crash course went either underground or stayed unpublic I figured we might have some discussion on how to get started in this system. There seems to be a lot of debate on the "true" mode of Enochian magick but I do not wish to expand on that here, rather just get the basics straight so that I or anyone could start doing the thing.

First of all: temple requirements. Lon Milo DuQuette lists the items needed in the book Enochian World of Aleister Crowley: Enochian Sex Magick as Sigillum Dei Aemeth plus four smaller ones beneath the table legs; the Holy Table; the seven Planetary Talismans or Ensigns; plus a skrying device if one prefers to use such. The Elementary Tablets seem optional though I'd have them ready, at least the one you're working with.

In Crowley's Liber LXXXIV vel Chanokh there are pretty neat outlines on the ritual operations, complete with Temple Openings and Enochian Conjurations. Any comment on these? Some seem to shorten these a bit or devise their own, which I find a most welcome modification.

As for the workings themselves: how did you guys start your research into the Enochian pandemonium? I must confess I'm a bit lost here, the material is so vast as to dumbfound the seeker. Skrying the Aethyrs seems pretty straighforward but I'd like to start with the elementary stuff, pun intended. Start with the royalty and evoke the Elemental Kings one by one? Or Seniors, or Kerubim, or Angels or ... oh my.

I've decided to finally start working with the system this Autumn, and shall write of some of my experiences here, given the advice. I'd love to hear about your first ramblings too!

I’ve crossed the abyss, I see more clearly now in Kether!

 • Posted on August 10, 2011 at 4:55 am
I've came to the realization that all I percieve through my senses is Ain Soph Aur. People, animals, plants, machines, rocks, water, sky, space, stars, etc is just the many faces of everything which is a part of the fused together absolutely ALL. Some are the will of the Infinite talking to me, guiding me higher and higher into true Transcendence, and some are shadows of my own negative side, being still a being, rippling across the ocean of Spirit. Soon I truly shall be one with the Tao. But it's taken lifetimes to get here, I'm patient as I know the path of dissolution is of the light, the first emanation and long.

Just wanted to say I'm officially mystically crazy now. There is just me, this imperfect being and the unlimited Tao, I am the last to come home! You all are already there, guiding me through the faces and shapes of these people on this forum and people in "RL."

Why evoke and invoke God, gods, angels, demons?

 • Posted on August 7, 2011 at 6:19 am
My invocation and evocation days were in the earlier part of my magickal career. Why did I leave it behind? I found that external powers one could ultimately only be a slave or servant to, and began believing that magick and a true magus wasn't a priest, but was a power of his/her own. I've even for a time tilted my pentagram downright, and abandoned The Source/God/The Infinite/The Tao/Ain Soph Aur/Spirit/etc, using the four cardinal directions of the Cosmos to rule over Spirit.

My practices over the past 10 years have revolved around using the many life fields of the varying bands of lifeforce to cast my magick. That and my own Chi or Spirit power, aka my consciousness, and the various vibrations and colors of lifeforce in my own body (Chakra Magick).

I wanted to become something superior to any elemental, astrological, nature, infernal, or divine, power, and become what I believed were special about magician's in myth, lore, and fantasy. That they were not divine men, some kind of holy man, but were cosmic men (and women), who didn't rule like powers did, but ruled over themselves. True self masters, wisemen, magi.

I now realize why the powers are a part of magic and not just reserved for the religious priesthood though.

The macrocosm is the entire cosmos, with all it's forces, forms, beings, etc. The microcosm though is an exact smaller replica, and I've found that gods and demon and whatnot exist within me, like my brain processing, or my heart pumping, and are powers and (micro)cosmic entities who rule the various aspects of my being.

Learning how to become a complete microcosm, one has to compare and contrast back and forth from the macrocosm, each working in effect for the betterment of each.

I now have decided to begin evoking and invoking gods, demons, angels, devas, faeries, etc, all elemental, natural, infernal, and divine agents, to better me as a mage, and to better the (macro)cosmic man, Adam Kadmon, so that each may be a replica of each. Some call Spirit/Tao/Ain Soph Aur/Quintessence/etc "God," but I believe the proper place for God is as the entire cosmos, the macrocosm. All other gods are like organs in this divine cosmic man, as well as the other powers. His Spirit is my Spirit, but in every other way I am a piece of him, a microcosm, and he is an extension of me (my world), a macrocosm, and so the macrocosm and microcosm are one.

The LAM Current

 • Posted on August 2, 2011 at 4:18 pm
I have been piecing my notes together and writing a detailed account of an intense working I did with the entity known as Lam in 2010 and its results and various tangents, speculations, etc. With the exception of a few select individuals I have kept this involvement fairly private. When that essay or discourse, or whatever you want to call it, is done I will probably post it publicly on my Occult Corpus blog. The purpose of this thread is to find out who else on OC has seriously worked with Lam and what their experiences/results were?

Note: I am not interested in unfounded speculations and opinions. The internet is already littered with such garbage. I only want to hear from those who have opened the gateway and made Gnostic contact with this entity.

4(5) elements (?)

 • Posted on July 30, 2011 at 7:23 am
I don't believe there are some "elements" (except those in the Periodic table).
Or I simply dunno what these 4 (or 5?) were supposed to mean in case I decided to acknowledge their "existence".
Sure there are books on the subject but those I caught a glimpse of proceed with the presumption people "know" there are elements and don't explain where the idea of elements arose or how come they "know" it after all.
So my question: how can one "discover" the meaning of elements? How can one convince himself/herself of these elements?

I've heard a story of someone who was practicing "element control" according to Bardon's Initiation book for a month but didn't do it properly and caused some imbalance within him - so that he kinda felt a surplus of fire in his body and experienced some strange side effects like touchiness and thirstiness.

However, this can be easily explained as a pure auto-suggestion.

So the elements - isn't that just about associations? people call some parts of their minds earth, water, fire, air and spirit or whatever and after some time they start finding "evidence" for this belief that there are really some elements.

This is my theory but I don't say it's necessarily true. Looking forward to other opinions!!

Tying together: Gnostics, Rosicrucians, Golden Dawn, Ordo Templi, etc.

 • Posted on July 23, 2011 at 6:24 pm
Hello everyone. This is my first post. I'm glad to be here, and I'm hoping that I chose the proper forum to place this. If not, I trust that any moderators will bear with me and move this to the proper area. If that becomes necessary, thanks in advance!

I'm trying to expand my personal knowledge, and I know that this area is my next step of pursuit. Firstly, though, I need to have an understanding of how all of these beliefs tie together -- how they started, what the foundational tenets of these beliefs are, how they relate to each other, what their current presence is like, and so on. What are they about? Does this all fall under the Kabbalah umbrella? Specifically, I'm talking about the Rosicrucian Order, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Ordo Templi Orientis, the Gnostics, and so on. Before I begin delving, I first need to wrap my head around this whole area of knowledge.

If anyone could provide a working summary, or even point me in the direction of a book or website, that would be great! Yes, I've already gone to the OTO and Golden Dawn websites, and I've read plenty of FAQs and introductory documents, but they're all written with the assumption that the reader has pre-existing knowledge. I do not.

The bigger picture: I am attempting to learn more about the old mysteries, and the magic that came out of them.

I appreciate anything that any of you could provide!

Magick circle symbol for Malkhuth?

 • Posted on July 21, 2011 at 7:03 am
Hello, everyone! I've been MIA for some time.
I need help with a certain symbolic correspondence to Malkhuth, the 10th sephirah.
Here are the symbols I know of:

The one on the left is supposed to be the double cubed altar; right from that comes the equal-armed cross and then there's the triangle ( or was it circle ) of art.
Fortune mentions "the magic circle". I've tried to find a general symbol for it, but I haven't succeeded.
What do you suggest? What should this symbol look like?
Thanks!

As I'm sure most know, the initials in the title stand for Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel, introduced to modern magical literature by Mathers' translation of The Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage, a Late Medieval/Renaissance text written roughly in Grimoiric style. Book II (of a 3-volume set) details what has come to be known as the Abreamelin Operation. Crowley made much of the concept and is probably most responsible for its current level of notoriety.

I'm interested in opinions about what the HGA is and/or how it functions, what constitutes Knowledge and Conversation, whether such a thing is necessary or even desirable, and if so, how one might best go about it.

Black Pullet Digital Talismans

 • Posted on July 19, 2011 at 9:05 am
After doing a lot of research and finding that no one has yet (atleast not from what i found) attempted to make and use the talismans in paper form. I took some time (almost 2 days worth) and digitally rendered the Talismans from the black pullet with their proper colors and borders. This allows you to download, print and cut them out and use them, along with the rings.

Let me know what you think:

RHP, LHP, but what about "MHP?," or MP.

 • Posted on July 16, 2011 at 12:31 am
Various esoteric systems across the globe have their right hand and left hand, paths, symbolising the two extremes light and dark, right and left, lunar and solar, selfless and selfish, but isn't the magician supposed to be a "walker between the worlds," and so one of the middle way, or middle path (not really MHP, as there is no such thing as a middle hand)?

Witches, shamans, and magicians, are frequently said in legend to be half human and half something otherworldly, as they live in the mundane but also live in the mystic.

Even the "Hermetic Tradition," reflects this with Hermes the greek god who was a god but also an angel, or messanger of the gods, as it's central archetype.

It seems the way of the Left Hand Path, is the aquisition of personal power, and to revel in the riches of the mundane. To make a pact with the devil, or pan, and live fully in the world, or mundane, for the world. It's the inverse pentagram, with magical and mystic power and wisdom, twisted for base material, or "lower," gratifications. Why this is even a magical path, and not just a magical deviant, is that the fallen are seen to eventually reach the same ultimate realization and practice by indulging in the carnal and so karma, by burning out desire by over indulging in it. It is the path of severity though properly, and successfully traversed by the few not the many, as in the RHP. Meaning most LHP magicians turn tail and follow the road of redemption and forgiveness, or the removal of karma, then follow the LHP all the way to ultimate death's door, and plunge their souls in the abyss, to defy death by becoming it, and so overcoming it, and realizing the ultimate where it emerges through it's bowls.

The Right Hand Path on the other hand is the common and offically approved spiritual path, instead of secretive and shunned LHP. It is the way of many as one, the light, and selfless, ego or karmic removal. The path of the light is to resist the urges of self, even self survival, and follow the way of the wise who shun the world and retract from it into the inner space of the cosmos. Power is not so practiced and sought, as wisdom is.
Because power is required to do, but wisdom is required not to do. The way of the changing maya is doing, but the way of the one source, Ain Soph Aur, Tao, Nirvanna, Infinite (or Astral) Light, etc, is being. Eventually like in the LHP, the ultimate is realized, but through it's head, and the paths of light and dark are transcendended for something beyond.

Now, I've read in Liber Null & Psychonaut, the Chaos Magic origins book, that the Middle (Hand) Path, is the path of Knowlege and leads nowhere, but I don't believe this is so studying the classical path of the magi, which as Peter Carroll then goes on to write about, is not the material nor the transcendent, but the magical paradigm or reality/way.

The Yin/Yang teaches that in every opposite is to be found it's opposite in return, but I believe to further this, in the middle way is to be found the extremes, and vice versa.

The Buddha, Sidhartha Gotama, also spent his life teaching a middle way to enlightenment, after walking both extremes himself. He said this was the most accessible way to the souls on earth, a middle plane, between heaven and hell, and that the ways of the extremes were more for the souls in the lower or upper worlds, and very difficult to pursue for the people who were part animal part divine, aka earth people.

So why is this middle way the central core of Buddhism, and reflected in the mythical god/teacher Hermes Trismegistus in the Western Esoterica and Alchemy, but is unheard of in the magic of the magical revival and the modern magical practices? What happened to the middle path?

Recommended Reading for?

 • Posted on July 13, 2011 at 6:18 pm
If some was new and wanted to start off working with the Goetia and Enochian Angels, what books would you list as recommend reading 1st before performing operations with these systems?

So far I have The True Grimoire, Grimoire Vernum, and The Grimoire of Armadel. I have a feeling this isn't enough information before working with this system and group of spirits, so I wondering what else would think would be important.

Loss of vehicle of vitality and theorised use of Daath

 • Posted on July 12, 2011 at 5:04 am
My framework for my internal structure is hermetic qabalah as described

briefly by 'Isreal Regardie' in ' a garden of pomegranites '.

1.
My physical body falls asleep, I awaken in my 'etheric' vehicle, I feel
I am limited, I am frustrated so I make the decision ( this being the
first time I ever make this decision ) to leave, instantly I find myself
in a light airy body, like a puff of air. I find that I only move when I
find something to be 'novel' and have a desire to investigate. There is
distinction between male and female but the physical sex element is
completely absent, you gravitate toward each other based on mutual
interest. I float around finding this and that stimulating, I can go on
doing this forever as I have no internal drive to change anything.
I am 'compelled' to return to my 'etheric' body ( I pursonally prefer
Robert Crookals description of said body as 'vehicle of vitality' ). I do
not wish to return, but a force much greater than mine, though extremely
gentle insists I return. I locate the 'etheric' frame and attempt to
enter it, It feels horrible, its heavy and feels like a sack of meat, it
take me an age to get the arm moving let alone stand up.
When I eventually fully integrate with the vehical of vitality, a short
time passes then I return to my physical body which then awakens.

2.
My physical body falls asleep, I awaken in my light airy body, this time
I am confronted by 5 fully grown adult animated 'vehicles of vitality', I
am compelled by a force greater than mine ( which does not have to be
more than a reasonably strong will as I have no desire to do anything
other than float toward stimulating novelties.) To 'enter' each of these
bodies in turn and 'search' for a 'temperament'. This I do and each time
is sickening as the animated bodies feel aweful, it takes me awhile to
adjust to the new vehicle's. I occupy the envelope's and 'sift' through
what feels like garbage until I sense certain tendencies. When I have
discovered what I am looking for I am 'compelled to leave the Animated
body and search the next one. It becomes clear that none of the Vehicles
have the 'correct' temperament', and this was just an illustrative
excercise. At this point I awaken in my physical body.

It has become apparent that upon losing those special somethings that the
'etheric' has, being sexual drives, desire/passion and reason, whats left
is directionless, will-less 'sparkly cloud' of consciousness that is
happy and contend to live a life of whimsy. Now some people may think
that sounds like heaven, not I, I find it extremely troubling that I am
'compelled' by a force that feels ouside of me to do this or to do that.
In theory one could be compelled to incarnate as any number of things.

Q.
Is it possible that the false sephiroth 'Daath' (Knowledge) is false
only because its a human generated creation. This Sephiroth would be
'grown' and cultivated over the course of a lifetime in order to enable
the 'light airy vehicle' some autonomy?
