New here. I am camped down by my river and it is blowing something wild. I am a long tooth. Artist / inventor / writer / revolutionary / shaman / wizard... and stuff. Mostly I have lots of fun making a difference and dodging the bullets that inevitably result. I am presently camped out in one of my many inventions. This one is called SPAWN 3. Testing it for durability. Been out here since last spring and it is still holding well. The while I have been creating jewelry and websites from the same device. Also mine raw materials from here. Do lots of photo safari adventures as well and attempt to involve those with disabilities where I can. Majik is my brand. It is not self serving but will roll over what it must to do what good needs be done.

What actually drew me here was one of the members threads who is dealing with dark and the appearance of an old that he feels is draining him. Some following comments I agreed with he is over his head but also has he heard of sleep paralysis or considered the posability that he gained an undead willing to teach and he in some way offended.
I am not offering answers as I do not really know his situation but I have a little exp in the area and hoped in some way I could have helped or given perspective. I have been in many other groups similar to this at one time or another and for most the time comes where one has little to offer or there seems no longer a fit, perhaps this time is a little differant.
I am former US military, former GVT contractor and presently work in the food industry at a juice plant. Background is literally have done almost everything at one time or another but self educating has always been in place.
I am definately hermetical and most certainly follow my own flame. Hope to make some friends or associates here who are of similar backgrounds or interests and to see where I will on occasion need to share my input.

I'm only 15, but I'm a serious practicioner.
I practice Egyptian magick, Very Basic Hermetics and have worked with elementals and certain spirits. My patron god is Anpu, I havn't actually evoked anything properly yet and at this time don't plan too although I've invoked a number of spirits.
I'll probably be quiet for a bit before I post often.

About my country magick forums mmmm 100% are wicca. I asked about the LBRP no answers.
I had want to start from somewere i started from here

I started doing slightly haphazard Wiccan spells as a kid, about 11, when I decided to find a religion that didn't set off my bullshit detector (Roman Catholic). That passed within a year and I found myself interested in Eastern religion. I started meditating at 14 after having an OBE that woke me in the middle of the night and led me to speedily write 3 pages on my theory of life (and this knowledge didn't come from me).
At about 19, I began meditating on a more serious, daily basis after spending some time living in a spiritual eco-village, which I am moving back to in a month. That year I also began studying Chaos magick through finding Crowley, thinking he was over my head and stuffy, but still wanting to learn the ways of magick.
I studied Phil Hine, Peter Carroll, Thee Temple ov Psychick Youth (which introduced me to sigils) and other chaos works while I was going to university. I had a lot of fun with all of that, and wreaked a bit of havoc as well. I don't think I quite knew the power of the presences I was evoking.
I'll be 22 soon, and it's just this year that I have found my way to Luciferianism. I am now studying Liber HVHI, and through searching for the NAP ritual I found this forum. I'm also doing some dreamwork. I hope to study the Goetia soon and test out some money manifestation techniques.
Magick has brought me confidence and a strong support system in times where I felt I was shit up a creek. I look forward to seeing what else it can do for me as time goes on. On the path I am on now, I find it important to reach physical perfection, so I'm in the process of quitting cigarettes and social drinking. I hope to one day reach my personal Godhood.

I think this is a very trying time, and I empathize with Q and FB's decision to sell OC. I think most of us are having financial issues in one form or another with this tough economy. However, being as stubborn as I am, I do not think OC has to be sold.
Numerous members have mentioned that a Council (Board of Directors) could be set up that is membership based, and a yearly fee. This would assist in settling three major concerns:
1. First and foremost assisting Q and FB in with their financial issues. Q and FB, you two are without a doubt the heart of OC, and are at the forefront of this forum.
2. Yearly hosting and vBulletin fees.
3. Maintaining this community in the hands of the community. The potential takeover for someone with corporate interests would turn this place into the 9th Circle of Hell. Look at what happened at Digg over the weekend.
So how much would it cost to be a Council Member? I would guess around $50...now it's not set in stone, I'm just throwing that number out there. I imagine the Council Members would have voting rights on the TOS of this forum, as well as a voice in future technical changes.
Please note this is all shooting from the hip and a lot needs to be discussed..SO LETS DISCUSS!

I get a lot of PMs, and I would love to answer them all but, many times, I find the question asked is one that surely others might wish to ask and, nearly always, it is one that would benefit from many different answers, from many different perspectives, which would encourage discussion, exchange, and possibly even learning something new!
