Pagan Community Notes is a companion to my usual_Pagan News of Note, a series more focused on news originating from within the Pagan community. I want to_reinforce_the idea that what happens to and within our organizations, groups, and events is news, and news-worthy. My hope is that more individuals, especially those working within Pagan organizations, [...]

Hello.
I've been practicing hatha yoga independently for a few months. There is no yoga center in the city where I live so that's quite disappointing for me. I use websites I find for asanas and other techniques however it is all rather unsatisfying.
Do you know a website (or maybe even a book) that offers a solid hatha yoga program?
Thanks!

I was reading today in Draja Mickaharic's Practice of MAGIC: An Introductory Guide to the Art, that the original Kabbalah only had 8 spheres.
Quote:
Page 41: In the predecessor to the Jewish system there were only eight spheres, with optionally added interconnecting paths. These eight were expanded to ten spheres to suit the requirements of Jewish religious practice, in which a minion of ten men is required to offer prayers to God.
Quote:
Page 45: The original system using eight spheres, the very ancient predecessor to the Jewish Kabbalah, is still available to those who have to learn how to use it. The system has occasionally been written about in the last decade, but I have never seen a book devoted to it in any detail, and do not expect to. The system is known as "The Eight" among those who use it. The I Ching is one of it's effects, which may be used for divination, but the I Ching is not a base for the system.
Now I know that the Kabbalah originated out of Gnostic writtings, and was made into a Jewish system by the Jews in the early and middle ages. I had never heard of that it was originally made of only 8 spheres though.
I would like to learn more of this "The Eight," and would appreciate any info or links by the master and scholar Kabbalists here, thanks.
Eight spheres would be interesting to relate to the 7 celestial bodies plus Quintessence, or the 8 rays of Chaos or even the eight spoked wheel of the alchemists as a symbol for Spirit (the Golden Dawn uses this). I Ching is Chinese right? That sounds like a strange mix of systems, though I've found much in the Chinese Yin and Yang and Taoism.

I had a dream event with a helpful entity sometime in the past and was inquiring if any could help me comprehend which type of entity assisted me. For close to a year I've had many entity attacks in my dreams or at least in some plane after I had gone to sleep.
In this event, I was in a dream and then ripped from it and placed in a vacant room with two astral entities that had the perception of human. I was of course still asleep, but as usual I became lucid. In this vacant room, I was getting attacked by the two entities that looked human. Some time passed and I was pinned against the wall by one entity. A symbol appeared above my head, scorched into the wall.
The entities were frightened by the symbol and called out "get this demon symbol away from me". I of course had no hand in this symbol and was startled also. The two
entities backed off me and was no longer physically attacking me, but then they set about mentally attacking me instead.
Once they begin to attack me again an almost human like creature or entity came crawling halfway out of a mirror inside the room on the closet door wall. The entity had human appendages, head and body form but its skin was almost fiery or amber-ed to withstand heat. It's eyes were a fiery yellow as-well.
The creature crawled partially from the mirror and turn to face the entities attacking me. The entities were instantly turned to ash, but the creature did not just let me see this event. I was forced to see the event from the entities' perspective. I could see the creature and its power to destroy the entities. It was a frightening experience, although I felt no hostility against myself from it.
The creature returned through the mirror, and I soon awoke in my bed. As I mention before, I had been astrally attacked after falling to sleep nearly every night for a year, but the attacks stop that night and have not returned for over a year now so far. I've been reading occult literature for the last year trying to find out which creature or entity this was that help me that night.
I've had many lucid dream experiences since that night in which I was meditating with a woman until a fire would consume us, and we felt no pain but only circulation of energy from one another.

Ok, I admit, this is something I can figure out on my own, but since I never post here I thought I'd ask you guys anyway.
I have a good reason to employ the spirits via the Key of Solomon (aka. Greater Key, not Goetia).
Normally I would prefer to evoke somewhere in nature, as far from people as
possible, where the local djinn naturally dwell. But it is impossible to find *any*
such place during the winter (I live in Finland) - no ruins, abandoned churches,
nothing... It's just way too cold (and snowy) to do anything outside at the
moment.
So I'm forced to evoke indoors. The problem is that I don't have a temple or a ritual room, or anything like that. I share my two-room apartment (a bedroom and living room) with a girl and two cats. It would be uncool if their personalities were overshadowed by energetic residue or such.
So I'm wondering if there's anyone here who has performed the evocation procedure as found in the KoS inside their apartment. Did the spirits appear? Did you die from the incense (not apparently if you are reading this)?
Thanks. :)
