My Halloween has been wacky and not filled with much in the way of traditional celebration. (Though my husband and I did partake in what we’re calling “Fail Carve 2010” followed by watching a Uwe Boll film.)

This post I put up yesterday has some other tips for celebrating Halloween.

[Mind Control] Turning?

  • Posted on October 31, 2010 at 6:59 pm
So many vampire films & dramas lately. This new influx no doubt inspired by damnable Twilight Rage. I'm not a fan of any except one "Being Human" and thats only because its British.

This thread is about the concept of "Turning" which exists not only in stories of Vampire but of Werewolfs and of Zombies

I wonder how the concept of Turning would affect someones magickal practice, make no mistake I'm not looking to be transformed into a feriocious furry or a dead guy. I'm more talking about influencing someone over to your side. So this thread may be a bit about NLP as well.

What I'm really interested in discussing is the Physical aspect of this. Turning requires the predator to make a physical contact to the Victim (a bite on the jagular from the vampire or a scratch from another werewolf.)

Would this technique have a strong impact on the psyche of both the Turner and the turned?

To clarify I will define Turning as

"To impose a characteristic of oneself onto another via the process of leaving a physical scar unto the receivers body"

In Fiction, the example would be of vampires and werewolfs
Whereas in Reality, the example would be turning people into, lets say "Mini-Yous"

Turning could be classified under a mix of Sympathy & Direct Magick along with a dose of NLP or such.

Discuss Pros & Cons of different methods on how to "turn"

Sorry, If it seem like I rambled on about senseless things alot there thats because well I pretty much did.

Why do we lose so many new members so quickly?

  • Posted on October 31, 2010 at 4:27 pm
Hi all,

One thing I've always wondered is why so many people post an intro thread and then disappear, never to be heard from again. Why do we seemingly lose so many new members so quickly? I'm hoping some of the newer members may know, like if its because people are scared to have their ideas debated, if they feel like they don't have anything to contribute, or if there's something missing here that's needed in order to generate more traffic from new people?

High-Quality Images of the Enochian Tablets?

  • Posted on October 31, 2010 at 1:10 pm
Does anyone perchance have a set of high-quality images of the Enochian Tablets?

I was planning to have them professionally printed on large cardstock, but have not yet been able to find suitably high-quality images in order to do so. I was hoping that some kind soul might be able to direct me to such images. :)

Thank you and take care,
Adam

I just tried Absinthe for the first time.

  • Posted on October 31, 2010 at 9:44 am
Besides it being tasty I noticed a slight change in my perceptions. I did a ritual and afterwards I tried some. Now my question is, can one somewhat weak glass of absinthe cause me to be more cheerful and the lights to shine brighter? It could have been the ritual. It does strike me like from Uncle Al said in his essay on Absinthe. Or also could it because I read about the effects and remembered it on the walk home.

And yes, I am looking to get a bottle myself so I can Try This at Home....

A Blessed Samhain

Tonight and tomorrow is when most modern Pagans celebrate_Samhain. Samhain is the start of winter and of the new year in the old Celtic calendar. This is a time when the ancestors are honored, divinations for the new year are performed, and festivals are held in honor of the gods. It is a time of [...]
